What is your all-time favorite dog breed?

My problem is that I love FAR too many.  Sally is a pit mix, and I LOVE the bullies, and Jack is a chocolate lab, and I can really see why some people are just head over heals for that breed as well.  When I told people I was getting a lab I heard many say they were stupid and hyper but this little guy is neither.  Then again he's 12 weeks--chack bcak with me at 16 weeks and see if I still feel the same way!  I also love Rhodesian Ridgebacks with a passion, and will own one at some point, just maybe not this point.  I also have a thing for dobes.  Greyhounds are also awesome--see where I'm going with this......

Welcome to the club. Although I saw somewhere how you could get your dog's mug on a mug or coffee cup. I created a bumpersticker with Shadow's pics on it and the words, "Dog is my co-pilot."

I have owned many mixes in my lifetime and all of them were special, good and subordant.  Then I started with pure breeds, love my Greater Swiss (most difficult as for training), my Pug (couch potatoe) and my former Gordon Setter!

I think I would love any breed but for now these are my choices.  I also love Mastiffs, Saints and Irish Setters - they are just darling dogs.

While I enjoy many breeds, most of all the giant breeds, the Saint Bernard is my all time favorite. I cannot imagine my house without one of the big guys!

Well, I only discovered my "all-time favorite" dog breed in 2004[:D] I've loved the Borzoi since I was 10 years old, but grew-up with English Springer Spaniels. I've always wished for a dog that resembled a Borzoi, but was closer to the size of a Springer & with a personality somewhere between the Springer's velcro-dog and the typical aloofness of a sighthound. My dream come true is the Silken Windhound....

I'm currently on a waiting list for a Silken pup due from a Spring 2007 litter!

I'd have to go with Papillon.  You just can't beat their personality.  Funny thing is, I'm not a toy fan.  Well, not until we got Beau, then my opinion changed drastically.  Very close seconds are shelties (Nikki is just such a great dog) and Ibizan Hounds.  (I've always thought they were the most beautiful dog breed on the face of the earth)

I agree entirely. Greyhounds are amazing dogs, they are beautiful, smart, clean, well behaved, sweet as anything and never any problem. My greyhound's name is Zephyr, every day she gets more and more beautiful. she, like all greyhounds is a total babe. She is my second grey and I'll always have greys. I love all dogs dearly, but greys are special.

Pit bulls. I have a soft spot for them. Actually, ANY of the bully breeds (especially the english bulldog)
BUT, I WILL one day own a doberman, a greyhound, and an Irish Wolfhound.
If my next dog (by next, I mean a second dog) isn't another adopted pit bull, then it's most likely going to be a doberman.
I'm completely fascinated and intrigued by them.
Then a greyhound because they are just such sweethearts.

I love my lab, but I have to say the more I work with my leopard curr dog the more I'm impressed by her.  Wimpy (named for her constant whining while she is "talking" to you) is known for her good personality, amazing work ethic, intelligence, herding abilities, she has a great nose and will follow a scent for miles, is extremely fast, loves to swim, loves to snuggle when in the house, is protective when away from the house, and doesn't get overheated in FL!  Wimpy is actually fearless when it comes to her job, although I do love the irony with her name.....
