Need Prayers for my friend's twin babies

My friend gave birth last Friday to two baby girls that are preemies they weight only 2 pounds 13 ounces and 17 ounces.  They where care flighted an hour away from where we live and will be in the NICU for 2 or 3 months. My friend has been staying near them this week while her mom tends to her younger son.As now they are off the ventilators and my friend can hold them for just a few minutes. She just found out today that the girls both have heart murmurs which they are hoping they can treat with medicine if not then these two small girls will have to go through surgery to fix them.

Next week she doesn't know if she will be able to stay near them since she will have no one to tend to her son. She  is torn between wanting to be with her girls and be with her son. If she come back to home she wont get to see them that much due to her not having her license and the bf/father doesn't get off till late so she might only get to see them a few times a week after this week compared to daily visits.

Please keep these girls in your thoughts and prayers that these girls don't need surgery and grow strong so they can finally come home. Please keep my friend in your thoughts she has been running her self ragged trying to be there for them.

My friend found out that the twin's will need surgery and they also did a brain scan which we found out that Paition has bleeding on her brain. The doctors say it doesn't look bad that they can drain it. I'll keep you guys updated on how these two girls are doing.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts I'll let them know that you guys are praying for them since I'm going to try to go up Sunday to see them.

I didn't go see them yesterday as I had planned. However they are doing good they are now up to 3 pounds and are doing great. We just need them to gain another pound or two and keep their own body heat then they have a chance to be going home. My friend had a hard time yesterday having to go back home and not being close to them, but she got to go be with them today.

That's great; I hope your friend can take the home very soon.

How are the twins doing today?  Sounds like progress if they are gaining weight.  I pray they continue to flourish and will be able to go home soon.

My DH was a premie way way back in 1959.  He weighed 2 pounds and could fit in the palm of his daddy's hand.

Today, at age 49 he is 6' tall and weighs....well, it doesn't matter.  He turned out just fine is the point...and cute to boot.  Smile

Sending good thoughts to your friend and the babies.
