For Laurelin, and her family

Laurelin - I'm so very sorry for your loss. Your mother was beautiful and I can see from the picture that she truly loved life. My mom died of cancer when she was only 44, so I know how difficult it can be to come to terms with something that seems to make no sense. I was the youngest in my family (12) and really leaned hard on my older sister during that time. I know that you'll be that support for your sisters too but don't forget to take care of yourself. My heart aches for you and your family and I'll continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

mom passed away from a butterfly glioma. Given her love for papillons and butterflies, it really makes you (or at least me) wonder.

Laurelin, I know that there is nothing that I can say to make you feel better right now.  I just want you to know that you should be so very proud of the way that you have handled yourself throughout your mother's illness.  You have carried yourself with grace, & dignity, when others would have crumbled.  The way that you've handled yourself is a testament to how well your parents have raised you. 

Thank you so much for sharing a picture of your mom.  Her spirit shines through in that pic. 

I will keep your family in my prayers as you work through this difficult time.

My thoughts are with your family. Find some peace with the fact she is no longer suffering. I lost my mother to cancer 23 years ago. 

You've got my thoughts too.  One of my mom's good friends has a glioma too - she's been doing really well so far, but I couldn't help but think of her when you mentioned what your mom had.

I'm sorry for your loss, and I know that somewhere, in a meadow filled with sunshine, beautiful butterflies, and Papillons, she is looking down on her loving family with pride at how they cared for her and loved her while she was here.  She was a beautiful woman and raised a great daughter...

So sorry to learn of your mother's passing.  I just stared at her picture and admired all the goodness shining out from her expression of love and appreciation for life.  I'm sure she is tremendously proud of you for all the strength and poise you have in helping her and your sisters and whole family during her illness.  Your efforts and loving care are an honor to her memory.  Sending wishes for comfort and a place of solace for you, where you can renew your spirit and feel close to your mom whenever you need it.  (hugs)

Your Mom is beautiful; and the picture shows her beautiful spirit as well.  What a wonderful thing to know that when you see butterflies around you...they could have been sent by her.  I am so sorry for your loss of the "physical" Mom.  I believe she will always be with and around you in spirit and energy.   You will feel her and just know.  {{{hugs}}}
