Mike's Welcoming Committee

Anne, I'm so sorry to hear the news of Mike's passing.  You both have been on my mind regularly and I've kept an eye on this thread, continuing to send good vibes.  As someone else posted, there's no way to prepare for how one feels at the death of a loved one, whether it's completely unexpected and sudden or after a long battle.  Even without knowing either of you personally, it's obvious from all your posts that you two share an incredible bond.  Notice that I wrote "share" (present tense), for your bond is still secure.  There is no past tense.  You're not alone.  Mike is still with you, it's just that your relationship has changed form.  Just because the physical person is gone doesn't mean the relationship is gone.  It's just on a different level that doesn't require physical presence.  May you find strength and comfort in Mike's continued spiritual presence in your life, and I hope it warms your heart to imagine him being bowled over by the huge number of furry critters that are now making their way to him!  Take care.

I looked out the window, and what came flying by (six floors up, mind you) but a small hawk - unmistakably a hawk and, yet, NOT a red tail.  Who says there are no miracles?

Anne, I was away for the weekend, I just got this.  I am sorry for your sorrow, I have had Shadow on my mind heavily this weekend, I think its because Mike is saying Hello and giving love and hugs for us all.  Thank you for sharing your lives with us, thank you for sharing your spirituality with us, most of all thanks for letting us be a part of Mikes last few days in the earthly world.  Take care, we will be here for you!  You are in my prayers, peace and Red tailed hawks for your dreams.

Anne, May you see many non-red tail hawks in the coming time.  I know that you know messages, signals and signs from our dearly departed are sent for each and every one of us.  I, like you, am so grateful that they can be recognized.  Peace be with you and Mike as he transitions.

 Whatever all your individual beliefs are, I want you hear what happened yesterday.  The only other person who was with Mike at the time of his death was his spiritual advisor, and trusted friend, another person of native descent.  I was chatting with his wife last night and she told me that her husband had a "visit" from a hawk, too.  The bird was definitely a hawk, but of a species that her husband had never seen before...

Say what you want, but I think that my Mike has been working hard to send us the gift we asked for - to let us know that he is safely home.

ann, i tend to not believe in these kind of things, but for some reason there is no doubt in my mind that that is all mike's doing!

I was chatting with his wife last night and she told me that her husband had a "visit" from a hawk, too.  The bird was definitely a hawk, but of a species that her husband had never seen before...

And that is a beautiful thing.  I love these kinds of messages.  It will bring you peace as you recognize the hawks as a sign from your beloved.  Soon, it will bring such smiles to your face when you recognize more signs from him.  Wishing you many many more.

Wow!  That is really an awesome thing that Mike is doing.  What a loving man to make sure that BOTH of you know that he is home.

I really was blessed to have had this, and so glad that we both recognized and appreciated each other while he was here.  I just have faith, somehow, that we will be together again, and that nothing will ever take us from each other again once I get over the bridge, too.  Right now, I am trusting my old faithful Dancer to watch over him there, just as she always did here...and to be the first to greet me and take me to him when the time comes.

Im a great believer in the native american beliefs and reading this just brought chill's all over my body.

I'm so sorry Anne.  And, I am positive that the hawks were his doing.
