Say what you want, but I think that my Mike has been working hard to send us the gift we asked for - to let us know that he is safely home.

I think that's exactly what it is.

 I just want to take a moment to thank all of you for your wonderful remembrances of your pets at the Bridge, and your sentiments about Mike.  I'm sure he would have been very humbled to see the number of responses here, and I certainly am.  I keep thinking how happy my Dancer must be to have her daddy back, but as for me, I'm still crying into poor Sioux's fur thinking how long it might be before we get him back...

Love you all, and have a happy holiday season - give all your loved ones a special hug this year in remembrance of what is so easily lost.

When special people like your Mike and my Rich leave us we  are reminded life is too darn short to not tell the people we love what they mean to us.

Oh, that's a really nice thought to think that they are together.  I'll bet they are since they are both dog dad's.

And thank you for sharing your tribulation with us and allowing us a chance to help grieve and celebrate and wish him well on his new journey. Mourning and all that we do here is actually for us surviving humans. Been there, done that. And I know that our grieving for you is just as much about our own helplessness as it is about comiserating with your loss. Thank you for being gracious and allowing us into your life.

 Ron, it is all of you who have been gracious in allowing me into yours.  I may not always post on such threads, but I read the experiences and "tribulations" of others, and there are always prayers and good vibes sent from here to anyone who appears in need.  And, I always knew that if the time came that I appeared to need them, that the people on idog would do the same.  Merry Christmas.

Please know Anne, how many of us are holding you in our hearts today, sending you strength and peace, and praying that the day will not be too difficult for you without Mike.  He's with you still, just not in body.

Anne, yes, I think Glenda put it so nicely.  We are thinking of you and I'm wondering if it was Mike who put in a word for the great weather we had today??  Willow is sending you some purple kisses and a big hug!
