Lil Miss Willa B *update pg3

    • Gold Top Dog

Thanks so much for the thoughts, vibes and prayers. They're working!

After a few good days of being warm and eating lots, the apnea seems to have improved. They think it's just a developmental thing because she was early, and that she'll grow out of it. When we left Friday night, she was up to 5 lbs 8 oz, and her temperature has been stable. So I've been sleeping a lot because I can't get much sleep at night. Feed for 45 minutes to an hour, sleep an hour or if I'm lucky, an hour and a half. It's really exhausting. During the day between feedings I've been trying to catch up on laundry, email, cleaning up, and oh yeah, I have to eat! I'm thinking things will get better in a week, when we can try to get a routine going.

Is she the cutest thing ever or what? Big Smile

    OMGZ lookatdatface. She's so sweet!!

My mom says (since I have no children, LOL) that all kids need routine! So I'll think *routine* vibes for you guys ;)

Janice, I logged on tonight specifically to see if you'd posted an update -- I'm so glad to hear that you're both back at home and that Willa is warmer and getting fatter!  The photo you posted is ADORABLE!  Give her a kiss, and keep us posted on her progress.  I hope you're getting as much rest as possible - I'm sending "routine" vibes your way, too!!

Oh geez, Janice!  I leave for a day & what happens?  you & Mr Jano, Willa & Roopy are all in my thoughts.  If Miss Willa needs some extra pounds I have a few I'd be so very glad to give her.  I am soooooooo happy that she's home, warm & gaining weight.  Please give your sweet pea some kisses from me.  I love that shot of her.

Jan - thanks so much for the update. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been worrying. I'm so glad that you're all home and doing better. I hope things settle into a routine very soon and you can get caught up on some sleep and have a little time for posting pictures of Willa on the forum. Until then though, sleep good and please do find some time to eat.

Jan - I am so happy to hear things are going better.  Hugs and good thoughts still coming your way.  Don't worry, things will get into a routine.  I know it doesn't seem like this stage will never end, but it will!  Don't think you need to worry about anything other than getting weight on that baby and sleep when you can!  Trust me.  Nap when you can...don't worry about cleaning, etc.  Anyone who comes to your house to see the baby doesn't care what your house looks like and if they do, ignore them!

P.S. give smooches to Willas big brother for me too!

Oh Janice, I am so thankful that baby Willa is getting so much better now......and YES what a beautiful picture of her....You will all be in our thoughts and prayers and I do hope she continues to get stronger by the day my dear Friend.

Take Care and look after yourself too, loads of hugs

Delighted to hear Willa is on the upswing and home where she belongs!  The picture is fantastic and I will patiently wait for a bigger Willa to model the Rupert onesy.

Somehow I completely missed this but I am so glad to hear she is doing better.  Hunger and warmth vibes coming from here.  That pic is so cute!

RAH!!  Glad she's doing better!  I told ya somebuddy was gonna volunteer to 'give' you some of their extra weight -- there *will* be the day when you'll be able to tell her how worried you were cos she didn't gain weight!!  (I think all we women dream of that happening at some time or another!)

So happy things are looking better.  Willa is adorable.  Don't worry about a routine - things have a way of just falling into place on their own.

That's so great things are looking up ;)

Sheesh my heart almost stopped reading the first post!  But I am SO GLAD she is doing better!  We're sending her Warm, Podgy Vibes all the way from the UK and I am eating some chocolate on her behalf as well.  It's good stuff.

I was going to suggest Kangarooing with her as being skin to skin with you will help her to regulate her own breathing and body temp.  But it seems like that's a redundant suggestion now, thank goodness!

PS. William says he is actually the cutest thing ever, actually, but he also says (quite generously I thought) that Willa can share his No.1 spot just cos she is sooooo Blootifull.  Big Smile

Sorry I missed this; haven't had much time to be on the 'puter lately. I'm so glad she's doing better. She's so precious; absolutely adorable!!!  I hope you're able to get more rest soon; sending baby sleeping vibes.
