OK, moving right along, I've reserved the storage, and it is actually cheaper than I had thought it would be, which is a great GOOD thing and she's even going to provide pallets for me just in case the melting snow is a bit too much.  I'll go over to the campground on Thursday when I have some cash and get that taken care of, and then I can call the phone company and get the phone moved once I have the site number.  I'm thinking that we'll move stuff on Wednesday and spend the last nite here in the RV and then move over to the campground on Thursday.  That way, we'll be able to give the dogs one last romp in the woods before they are a good deal more confined.  While the campoground is quiet, like during the week, we'll put draglines on them and go back in the woods there, but weekends, when the snowmobilers are there, they'll have to be content with walks.

I did need a bit of chemical assistance this morning, but I'm not needing quite so much of that.

Trying to find the silver lining in this big dark cloud......

Glenda - I am just seeing this.  I am praying so hard for you and your family.  I will be lighting candles for you tonight!

ETA:  Put DH on the case and he found this position in sales in Northern MI:

    http://www.flipdog.com/job/sales-representative-for-greeting-card-and-gift/69027525/

It might not be perfect, but maybe something to bring in some $$ until your DH gets back on his feet.  I also found a place on Craig's list:

    http://nmi.craigslist.org/apa/602303613.html

It's 10 minutes from TC and $750 a month.  Don't know if you want to do something so permenant right now or not.  If you need any help searching, etc. please don't hesitate to ask!!  I put in a call to my FIL, he works in the Elk Rapids school district to see if they have anything.

Thanks for that.  Emailed my resume, and also have an email into the home owner.

Tennis courts, playgrounds that are fenced in at off hours are perfect for letting dogs run around.

    Just found this thread today.  I'm so sorry that you're going through this.  Sending you tons of good thoughts and prayers that one (or more!) of the leads that you have works out.  {{{HUGS}}}

Thanks to an angel here on the forum I can go today and get the campground paid for and taken care of.  That will include having the phone transfered, and then I have to call all the other utilities for here and get them changed over to the owner, or out of my name at least.  Will need to get a post office box while I'm out so that I can get the change of address taken care of too.  Guess I'll have to see about getting a rental truck today as well.

Then I need to get some wholesale packing done.  And clean up the awful mess in the garage from when my half packed stuff got thrown out of the side of the garage that THEY wanted to use.

They go away for hours and hours on end and leave that poor 4 month old pup crated.  He cries and yipes and carries on much of the time they are gone.  So between him and them drinking and fighting when they ARE home, the crowded RV in the campground is sounding better every day!

See, there's a silver lining! Just imagine all that, erm...peace. And quiet. And, you know, six GSD in your RV :) We're hoping things start looking up for you sooner rather than later.

Don't forget the cats, who'll be living in the bathroom!  At least I can put the cat box in the shower!

We did solve the problem of the deep freeze.  Sis has a very large tent, and we can just put it in front of the RV...did ask about that today, so I'll put a few pallets in there to elevate it a bit,the tent will protect it from the weather and it'll be handy.  I really didn't want to have to take it all the way into town and then forget to stop and get a weeks supply of food out....plus the freezer in the RV isn't all that big...heck, the FRIDGE isn't all that big!  NOTHING is all that big, despite the fact that it's a 37 footer.  Times like this is when I really wish the darned thing had some sliders.

Oh gosh, I'm just seeing this now! I hope things get better for you real soon! It's a shame you ruled out FL, there's a bunch of us down here - I'm sure we could have found something!

My cousin owns a campground up in northern WI, but it's closed during the winter - when she comes down here....

    Stay positive!! (((hugs)))

We actually haven't ruled out anyplace, but I really do NOT like the snakes of the deep south!  Or the humidity.

At the moment I am LMBO!  They left about 10 this morning. They got home about 10 minutes ago.  Bruce (the pup) gave up yipping and whining a couple hours ago.  But the owner is not one bit happy....and the crate just went flying out the door.  Seems that a 4 month old pup CAN'T HOLD IT FOR ALMOST 12 FREAKING HOURS!  Hmmmm, the temp seems to have gone up about 10 degrees and the air is turning blue from all the cussing.....seems that Bella the boxer couldn't wait that long either.    Too bad that when they walked in the door they stepped in it!  Tehehe!!  I'm soooo bad!

At least the dogs are quiet now.  Too bad the owners aren't!

There's not too many snakes around where I am. I usually only see the garden snakes - the ones the cats drag in off the porch....Confused As long as you stay out of the deep, deep woods, you're fine.

The humidity is a killer though... can't argue that one.

The job market in Albuquerque is booming and housing is still reasonable here. Look up jobs here and should you get lucky on one you can park your RV next to my house and plug it in. There is a 1/2 acre fenced for the dogs to run.

We will keep the prayers going that something good will turn up soon.

Thanks for the offer.  Will check out the area.  We both spend a good part of every day checking and submitting on line all around the country.

I had another bad night so am extra tired today.  Started waking up at 4 again and never got back into a good sleep.  I think that when the folks downstairs are extra loud I get more uptight and that interferes with my sleep.  I think.  But, it could just be the stress of the entire situation.  They still haven't moved anything in the garage so my stuff is penned in and I can't get it organized, which bugs me, and I can't get more boxes put out there since there is no place to put them.....which limits the packing that I absolutely have to finish.  I guess it shouldn't surprise me that I'm not sleeping well.  But, darn, if my brain would just switch off for a few more hours and let me rest......
