Thank you, I know it was your thoughts and prayers that brought comfort to Drizzle. You are a true community of dog lovers. Reading your notes gave me a much needed emotional release. Moments ago, Drizzle took a little water and two medium milkbone treats. She said no to other treats, chicken, and beef. A good turn and a good start. She tried to poop but nothing came out. We did visit the vet and her temperature and blood work were normal.
If Drizzle is like me, we have long memories of Blizzard and it going to take time to replay and to savor those memory. Like the time Blizzard and Drizzle caused chaos in the neighborhood. While doing my gardening, I inadvertently left the back gate open and out Blizzard and Drizzle went. I was alerted to this because Pepperdine and Nessie were at the edge peering out of the yard and barking at the two. They knew not to leave the yard. By the time I got there, the Weather Girls were down the alley and well into the next block. I yelled but they did not hear me. In a panic rush, I jump in my car and drove in the directions I last saw them. At a distance I spotted them and it looked like they stopped and Drizzle was hesitating to go forward. Drizzle turned around heading home while Blizzard went forward. They split up, now which do I get? Drizzle was heading toward more traffic so I decided to go after her. I turned the car around and headed home. When I got there, Drizzle was sitting at the gate whining to get in. Good girl! I then went after Blizzard but she was no where to be found from the last place I saw her. I could hear police/fire sirens far away. I slowly drove around the neighborhood and came across a gentlemen who seem to know what I was looking for. He waved me in a direction and off I went. Meanwhile those sirens were getting louder. I turned down a street and there was a policeman out of his flashing police car and he cornered Blizzard. Blizzard looked so frightened. I pulled up, opened the door, waved to Blizzard and in the car she goes. The policeman told me they had a number of calls of a white horse roaming the neighborhood. Now another flashing police car pulled up. Needless to say, I never made the mistake of leaving the back gate open again. Oh, and I aged 10 years.
