    Drizzle needs your help

Please send up some prayers and healing thoughts for Drizzle.  She needs comfort during this time.  Her heart is broken and she has stopped eating and drinking water.  She hardly moves from her bed.  Drizzle's littermate sister Blizzard crossed the bridge on Friday evening after an illness of cancer.

Oh NO.......I had no ides Blizzard passed, I am so sorry to hear that. Your heart must be aching.....

Is Drizzle sick or just severely depressed, and that would be the reason for her not eating....I don't know...but, I will put all of you in my prayers....and I am sending super strong healing thoughts.......

I am very, very sorry DPU.  My thoughts are with both you and Drizzle in this difficult time.

    Run free, Blizzard.

Drizzle, hon - It's Aunt Callie (and I KNOW Dad talks about me).

Drizzle it hurts.  I'm crying too.  But you know Blizzard doesn't hurt ANY more.  You know Blizzard hasn't smelled right in a long time.  Where she is now smells *fine* now - no more smelly cancer.  Nobuddy hurts there across Rainbow Bridge.

I did a longer email and sent it that way. It's only Sunday and the hurt feels real fresh still ... But you know Blizzard would want you to get up and eat.  She's been brave for a LONG time.  It's what she'd nudge you to do ... right?

    Love, Aunt Callie

Much prayer and good thots for you, Drizzle and all the dogs.  Blizzard had a long fight, and she was an awesome dog.  My heart is with you ... holler if I can help.

Have you tried enticing her with something really special and smelly and tasty yet?

Drizzle - it's okay to grieve, but you gotta eat and drink for your dad.  Hang in there baby.

DPU, I'm so sorry to hear about Blizzard's crossing the bridge.   She fought long and hard, and thats a testament to the love and care she had for you.   I know that Drizzle is also hurting from the loss - give her a big big hug from me.   Tell her that Aunt Callie is right - that Blizzard is all better now and is watching over all of you and that she (Blizzard) would want her (Drizzle) to eat and drink and enjoy her time here on earth until you are all reunited again.  You will all be in my thoughts.

DPU, I had no idea either. I'm so sorry. I know both you and Drizzle will give peace and comfort to each other. ((((HUGS & PETS))))))

Oh, Drizzle, we're thinking of you. I'd be more than happy to let you put your big ol' head in my lap and I'd give you all the pats and kisses you needed. I'm so sorry your sister went to the bridge but I know she's happy and not in any pain there.

Thank you, I know it was your thoughts and prayers that brought comfort to Drizzle.  You are a true community of dog lovers.  Reading your notes gave me a much needed emotional release.  Moments ago, Drizzle took a little water and two medium milkbone treats.  She said no to other treats, chicken, and beef.  A good turn and a good start.  She tried to poop but nothing came out.  We did visit the vet and her temperature and blood work were normal.

If Drizzle is like me, we have long memories of Blizzard and it going to take time to replay and to savor those memory.  Like the time Blizzard and Drizzle caused chaos in the neighborhood.  While doing my gardening, I inadvertently left the back gate open and out Blizzard and Drizzle went.  I was alerted to this because Pepperdine and Nessie were at the edge peering out of the yard and barking at the two.  They knew not to leave the yard.  By the time I got there, the Weather Girls were down the alley and well into the next block.  I yelled but they did not hear me.  In a panic rush, I jump in my car and drove in the directions I last saw them.  At a distance I spotted them and it looked like they stopped and Drizzle was hesitating to go forward.   Drizzle turned around heading home while Blizzard went forward.  They split up, now which do I get?  Drizzle was heading toward more traffic so I decided to go after her.  I turned the car around and headed home.  When I got there, Drizzle was sitting at the gate whining to get in.  Good girl!  I then went after Blizzard but she was no where to be found from the last place I saw her.  I could hear police/fire sirens far away.  I slowly drove around the neighborhood and came across a gentlemen who seem to know what I was looking for.  He waved me in a direction and off I went.  Meanwhile those sirens were getting louder.  I turned down a street and there was a policeman out of his flashing police car and he cornered Blizzard.  Blizzard looked so frightened.  I pulled up, opened the door, waved to Blizzard and in the car she goes.  The policeman told me they had a number of calls of a white horse roaming the neighborhood.  Now another flashing police car pulled up.  Needless to say, I never made the mistake of leaving the back gate open again.  Oh, and I aged 10 years.
