This is where it's comforting that they have a strong faith. Because it's just such a scarey thing and so full of pain and awful stuff. Praying for peace for Katie and her family and that the absolute best that can be will happen.

Update 1/12: She is slowly declining and her family is camped around her bed 24/7.

Today's update: Her breathing has become shallow, but she seems to be peaceful. Her parents conversed with the Head Neuro Doc and he seems to have affirmed their decision for them.

What a tough thing to have to deal with! I feel so bad for the family!

Katie passed away at about 6 pm tonight. I know that her friends and family can use the good thoughts. They will organize a ceremony for her late spring/early summer.
