MIL is dying, or maybe not

MIL is dying, or maybe not

The doctor called DH this morning to let him know that MIL is not going to recover.  His suggestion is to stop aggressive treatment and move her to hospice.  She might have 2 days or 2 weeks.

DH and DS are leaving in the morning.  Given our financial situation they'll have to drive.  Much as I need to be with DH, I have the critters and the radio station to keep going. We can't afford to loose that final check.

Prayers please for a safe trip for DS and DH, that MIL will hold on until they arrive and for a peaceful passing for her.

I'm so worried about DH.  He's not had a good relationship with his Mom since she "ran away from home" when he was a teenager.  That's never quite left him.

And now she'll be gone and there's no chance to rebuild the bridges that he feels that she burned.

So sorry to hear this.  Hugs to you and your family.

Glenda, I'm sorry that the news isn't good.  We're sending good thoughts to your DH & DS for safe travel, & a, as stress free as possible given the circumstances, trip.

Step son sent a text.  MIL was being prepped to be moved to Hospice.  She's hooked up to O2 and nothing else.  Hopefully someone official will call DH soon and let him know her status.

OK, SS didn't have it quite right.  Hospice came and accepted her as a patient, but she won't be moving over there until tommorow afternoon.  DH talked to the nurse facilatator and got the straight info.
