Megan, you made me entire day today, sweetie.  I can not wait to get to the hospital and show Charles.  I'm just smiling thinking about the look on his face when he sees your macaroni card. :)

You are very, very, welcome. It's not a spectacular one, my pasta stash is running low so I didn't have my usual variety to work with. I hope Mr. Jackie likes pasta flowers :) If he really likes it, I could make another one. With better pasta shapes!

I swear I didn't open the chocolates for Mr. J, I had to put a teensy hole in the bag to get the box to close!

So glad to hear you are in good spirits.  Just wanted to pop in for HUGS!!!!  Take care of yourself.  Eat something and get some sleep!

Meg - you are beyond sweet and I may have to fight Jackie off but if you ever need a place, there's room for you here. Just in case you need to know, but if I ever get really sick, I'd love a macaroni card too.

So glad the surgery went okay. I hope he heals quickly so doesnt have to stay there too long. I remember all the times I was at the hospital when I broke my arm (3 times total..), and its deffinitely not fun.

Maybe once he has recovored from the surgery you could bring one of the dogs in to see him? Not sure if your hospital would allow that... I had a neighbor that was in the hospital for a while and the hospital allowed me to bring in her dog (I was taking care of him while she wasnt there) He was small, so I just carried him in. Maybe Twister since he is small? I bet Mr.Jackie would like to see one of the puppers

Jackie, I'm glad that everything is still going well. 

I know that this has been said over & over, but please take care of yourself.  You are not going to be able to help Charles recover if you aren't 100%.

When we went through this with my grandmother, this site was very helpful.  It will give you an idea of what is "normal" during recovery, as well as giving you strategies to help deal with the memory loss.  The forum there was very helpful & informative for me.

St Luke's Hospital has a support group for aneurysm survivors & their loved ones.  I have no experience with that group, but I will say that the one in Houston was amazing.  It helps to be able to talk to others who have been through the same thing as you.

Hugs to both you & Charles.  You are both on my mind & in my heart constantly.

 So glad he is doing well.  You are both still in my thoughts!

 I'm glad things seem to be improving. Yay for morphine pumps, sorry but they're great to have, just sad that its needed.

Still sending lots of 'get better' and 'stay strong' vibes!!

Were you able to relax a little bit last night Jackie?  I hope so.  You have been so strong through all of this, I am just hoping you are also doing what you need to for you too.  Please take care.  We all love you too :)  (((hugs)))

It's so nice to hear from you!  I am glad Charlie is doing better!  My hubby loved the morphine pump...lol....he would push that button about every 5 min...I would just laugh I knew he wasnt getting a blast every time but if he thought he was I didnt care!   Hugs from me and head burrowing from Hot and Rock..  Today you will have a good day, your Sis will be there to share the load!!!

I'm so happy to hear from you!  And extra happy that you are taking care of yourself by relaxing at home.  You are a rock, my dear.  The strength that your Charlie needs and you KNOW how important it is to keep yourself nourished both body and mind.

I had to smile about the macaroni card.  I'd have to say that is THE best medicine for Charles.  I know that will have a special spot on the window sill.  Not downplaying the other cards (including mine).  Its just that Meg is such a darlingheart and I have tears right now thinking about how sweet it is that she made such a special, creative gift.

Ah yes, pumps...I remember them well.  Click.  Click.  Sleep.

I had the nicest conversation with Jackie last night.  She sounded good, tired but good.  I heard the ding of a microwave in the background while we were talking.  I didn't find out what she was cooking.  Her plan for the night was to take a tub & have a glass of wine.  I think she's starting to get into a routine.  I'm so glad that her sister is arriving today.  She said that the dogs are also doing well & have a co-worker taking care of them.  Twister still goes to the office & Rex & Belle get little play times at the same co-worker's place daily.

As always, Jackie & Charles are in my thoughts.

Yes, she sounded a little more positive yesterday.

Maybe because I sent her THREE emails basically saying I was going to bash her head in with my 2 x 4 if she didn't start taking care of herself.

I am so happy to hear he is doing better today.  Just remember to take it one day at a time...and as everyone else has warned you, take care of yourself!!!  We have missed you around here.  I know I rarely post, but I do lurk, all the time!
