I'm sorry he had to have another surgery. I check in daily and I'm still sending loads of good vibes to Jackie and Charlie!

C'mon Mr. Jackie you can do it!!!

Jackie, check your mail today! And I'm with Jennie, don't leave it within doggie reach :)

Get some rest soon and give Mr. Jackie a big, gentle hug from me.

Oh dear.  I'm so so so sorry that Mr. Jackie had to endure another surgery.  You both are still in my thoughts.  PLEASE take care of yourself, Jackie.  You don't want to end up in the hospital as a patient.  I think that there's a one patient per family limit in hospitals.  At least in my world there is such a limit.  Hang in there, sweetie.  ((TIGHT HUGS))

Popping in to say Charles is doing well today.  He's being such a trooper.  I'm not letting this new development get me down. It's just a day at a time right now.  Charles has a morphine pump for the pain from the new surgery.  He loves his pump. :)  I'm doing fine too and am planning to get home early today and spend some time with the dogs and relaxing body and mind for a while.   I love getting home and opening the mailbox. :)  Charles loves the cards and can't believe how close idog friends are, even though we are miles and miles apart.  Love you all and believe me, I think of you all often.

What a nice surprise to see a post from you and with good news. Yay!! Let's see if we can get you a morphine-like pump too but maybe one that you could alternate from caffeine to tequila Wink. We're all here thinking of you both and we may not be there in body but we're by your side in spirit. If you can fit it in, try to have a nice bubble bath. I'm excited about your sister arriving tomorrow and I know you must be too.

Jackie, I'm so glad to hear he's recovering okay from this second surgery.  Its awful he's had to go through another one, but I'm thrilled that he's doing so well.

We think of you guys every day!

    HI Jackie,

While I don't post often, I am following your thread everyday.  I've PM'd Callie to ask for an address to send a card... from Montreal, Canada.

Wishing *you* a great nights sleep... and BTW.. sisters DO make a world of difference when dealing with things like this!  :)

AHHHHH....just what I was wanting to hear Jackie!  I'm so happy things are getting better and that the surgery went well.  Like everyone is saying though....take care of yourself also so that you can take care of Charles better.  R&R with the puppers tonight sounds like a good idea for ya.

Continued thoughts and prayers coming to you and Charles.

I've been reading back thru the posts here and I can't stop myself from crying.  All of the cards, calls, words of support written here are just what I need.   I know, from when I have posted to a thread for someone going thru a tough time, that the words can be hard to come by and feel trite sometimes.  EVERY SINGLE WORD MEANS SO MUCH TO ME.  Doesn't matter if it's one line or half a page. I read every one and they just lift me up like you wouldn't believe.  All the doggie kisses help too and I must be covered in dog slime by now.  :)   Which bothers me not at all.

Annie, if I had a shot of tequila I would probably pass out with the glass in my hand. lol  Got your message today and will call you. :)  When the nurse (named Angel believe it or not) came to give Charles the pre op sedative for the colon re section, she said "here's your margarita!"  She looked startled when I said "where's mine?"

Megan, you made me entire day today, sweetie.  I can not wait to get to the hospital and show Charles.  I'm just smiling thinking about the look on his face when he sees your macaroni card. :)  You're too much and you have such a place in my heart. Along with all the rest of you who are thinking of us.  I had to mention you specially because we all think of you as "our girl" and I know no one will get their feelings hurt.  If they do, Deb will straighten 'em out with her 2 x 4.  :)

When I'm at the hospital and just sitting with Charles, I get up and read all the cards and smile and laugh at the funny ones.  Some of you know I'm a cardaholic, so I'm in heaven.  I like 'em all.  I have them all lined up along the long window sill in his room.  The nurses all have commented that we must be dog people. lol  Some of the nurses completely understand because they're dog people too.  The best kind of people on earth.

Well, Belle is arooooing at me cause she really, really needs to play she says. lol  Twister is sitting in my lap helping me type.  Rex is quietly laying at my feet. :)  Heaven, pure heaven.

Hugs to you all and keep yourselves safe.  Love to you all.
