this old Pug - the saga continues

I just emailed Pug Puzzle with the shelter info.  I had also emailed the volunteer coordinator yesterday to see if she had any info about the guy.  She was checking and going to let me know.

Just got an email from the volunteer coordinator.  The Pug is around 10 years old, had a flea treatment yesterday, won't be available until 9-6-08.   They have named him Luke.

 I talked to the shelter this morning and just got off the phone with the coordinator for PRN. If he hasn't been claimed or adopted by Saturday someone is standing by to pick him up! So he will be out of there one way or another LOL!! All of us have breathed a sigh of relief and can relax now!! Callie and Tina, I appreciate all the help with him!!

Oh, Janelle - that's so good to hear!!!  Thank YOU and Callie!  I didn't really do anything except notice him and post here.  I didn't know anything would come of it.  I just have a soft spot for the old ones because it breaks my heart to see them have to spend their last days at the shelter.  Circumstances being whatever they are, it's not what the elderly deserve.  If I hear anything else, I'll post; I hope you will, too!

I received an email this afternoon about the old Pug.  The owners claimed him today, were scolded about the condition he was in, and said they'd only had him for two weeks.  I'm trying to be hopeful, but have my concerns.  I really want to be wrong.

I've already emailed Janelle (Pug Puzzle) to let her know.

Thanks everyone for the support.  Please keep a good thought for him that his owners give him the medical attention he needs.  Take care, little old fella "Luke".

Hmmmmmmmmm yeah, because if he was adopted thru pug rescue somebuddy's gotta know about it.  grrrrr
