Please pray for my friend with cancer

My friend had the surgery to remove the cancerous tumor in her lung a few weeks ago. It was a difficult surgery but she was able to come home after about 5 days. They did find cancer in one of her lymph nodes Sad so she will have to have the chemotherapy starting in about 3 weeks from now. She hasn't allowed any her friends to visit her yet. One friend was scheduled to visit with her on Sunday, but Patti didn't answer the phone. She's extremely depressed and I'm sure she's terrified of what the future holds for her. She's going to see a counselor this Thursday and I'm so very happy about that. Hopefully talking to someone professionally and maybe starting on some antidepressants will help lift her mood. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I certainly will pray for your friend.  I'm glad she is going to be getting some support.

The Psychiatrist will deff tell her that Cancer patients need friends and family more than ever! It helps them to be stronger and survive through it!

If it helps to have faith about the situation, I know many people who were strong survivors after chemo... I am wishing her the best of luck!

She can't give up now, there is lots of hope! *sending lots of good vibes!*

That would be my greatest hope. She has so many great friends and I know, if given the chance, we could help her cope with this.

Exactly! And she needs to recognize this on her own terms (hopefully fast??) Some people do tend to pull away in times of crisis... I happen to be one of those "okay i need everybody around me" type person under crisis.

I really hope she calls you all up and wants some quality time! you have to laugh off the bad and take the next step :o) I have faith and hope that she will do just fine.

I'm hoping that just the right words will turn her around...and make her see how important it is to have her friends that love her around her.   I'm sure right now she feels so alone.

    Keep us posted Cathy!
