I know from the most recent posts on the other thread that Willow is doing better (fingers and paws crossed!) But I had to ask ---- Willow is a hairy girl, right? Do you keep her vulva area reeeeeeally well shaved and clear of all hair? Just curious, I have a very hairy breed and if not kept shaved and clean most times vaginitis and UTI's can occur over and over. The hair is like a wick for bacteria. We were also told to keep girls prone to these problems on probiotics, lactobacillus in particular. Frequent bathing of the area with a good antbiotic shampoo, or a sit bath in epsom salts bath can help keep germs away.
