Need some good thoughts for Jessie

Dyan; Jessie has mild chronic pancreatitis; vet calls it low grade. I belong to a yahoo group for owners of dogs with pancreatitis, and in the more severe cases, they can have an attack for no apparent reason, and sometimes they die. Freeway may be one of those dogs. The best way to know how he's doing is to have his pancreatic enzymes checked occasionally. If his enzyme numbers are increasing, he may need to be put on a diet that has less fat than his current diet. For dogs that vomit,  Pepcid helps, and so does Tylan. Does she have his enzymes checked when he vomits?

Actually Janice just by coincidence...Freeway was sick today. Donna was scared and took her in to the vet. They ran the test and it was NOT pancreatitis thank goodness.  Just an expensive tummy ache.    Bad thing there is that son.....Donna never knows for sure if he is feeding her something or not.

    Thanks for the information!

Janice, so glad to hear things are good for Jessie!  I know the fear associated with pancreatitis all too well.  I gave Tessy a small piece of doggy beef jerky (small small piece) before and it flared up her pancreatitis...overnight!

Give her some luvins for me k.

Thanks Johnny. It's good to see you're posting again. I'm guessing you gave up the internet for awhile so you could buy meds for Tessie. How's she doing?
