Lighten up ron and go easy on the sarcasm.  There was no implication that CM didnt help.  You've obviously completely misunderstood my post.
For the benefit of all who may have misconstrued my post:   It was a *joke* and not intended to offend.
And espence I'm sorry if I offended you.
Back to topic.....?  What am I saying it's not even worth it .  I'm not even bothering coming back to this one.  [sm=banghead002.gif]

Jokes are cool when they're actually funny, not meant to hurt anyone, and there's no malaise. Perhaps you were actually just joking, but the problem is, there is constant bashing of Cesar here, and anyone who says there's not is missing something. So when one constantly tries to discredit someone (and I'm not saying it's you) and then makes a joke about them, it's not going to go over well.

What had the previous trainer being trying specifically that didn't work? Regular +R training but we think she was not as good as she should be anyways (her own dogs were not the best behaved ones)

I must've missed the part where she said she went +R only. I do remember her comment about her reading a bunch of books and finding that all the books contradicted each other, well, I'm not sure how to put this but...duh, unless you're reading books from exclusively one philosophy of training, they will contradict each other. Example, if she read, lets say, The other "end of the leash" on one hand, and some koehler type book on the other, of course they will contradict each other. Besides I'm still hung up on the part where they address her as a trainer, I'm pretty sure she doesn't do that for a living, seemed to me like she was part of Patty LaBelle's staff. I mean, I train my own dog, that doesn;t make me a trainer.

On any event, wasn't this dog yet another case of a reactive dog, that due to size, breed etc. everyone interpreted reactivity as aggression?
