What is everyone feeding now?

optima lamb and rice joint formula.

it's the only thing i can get conveniently, that doesnt give moca soft poops.

Golden retriever mix, Honey, age 6 1/2 is on Purina One  weight control formula.  Golden Retreiver Kaycee, who will be 9 in Aug., is on TOTW.  Has been on the High Prairie formyula for severaql months, but last week I got the Welands formula.  She hasn't tried it yet.  Loves the HP formula and suspect she will like the Welands jsut as well.

They also get get cooked, grainless chicken stew 5 nights a week  and a can of salmon or mackeral the other ytwonights.  These make up about 1/3 of their food, the kibble the other 2/3.

River's is eating Healthwise puppy & Innova large breed puppy food

Kuaui & Dakota are eating Primal raw pheasant, with homecooked

All dogs get canned salmon, yogurt, veggies, mackeral several times a week.

Both boys are on Natural Balance Ultra premium. Ginger's on NB Venison and Potato canned.

Current dry food for my 18 month old and 70 lb lab = Canine Caviar Chicken and Millet (puppy formula). I like the puppy formula for the added protein, omega 3, omega 6, and less carb in proportion to protein.

He also gets whatever fruits, veggies, canned 95% meat, and homecooked food I happen to have at home with 2 cups of the dry food each day.

P.S - I haven't decided what to try next after Canine Caviar.  My lab has developed an iron stomach (and thank goodness no allergies!!) so he has no problem switching food cold turkey.

Dakota: Iams Low Residue. I have no plans to change since this works.

Neiko - Innova Evo - works GREAT for him. I am thinking of rotating to something else though after this bag is gone. Just for a change. I'd like a different protein source for a while before going back to evo again.

Lily - Innova Evo reduced fat. This is working really well for her too. She's shaping up nicely - losing her squishiness and gaining more muscle. I'm going to keep her on this for a while.

Neiko and Lily's coats are fantastic. I am really liking the Evo line of foods. Dakota's coat is pretty lousy ever since going on Iams. I may add some fish oil to her diet soon.

Fromm Four Star. (with many additives such as yogurt, RMBs, fish oil, eggs, etc.) And I will probably cycle the Fromm with Canidae.

    • Gold Top Dog
Wellness Core Ocean Blue, plus a lump or two of canned. At lunchtime he gets a NV medallion and a frozen yogurt cube in a kong.

Prancer is still getting 1/3rd kibble (used exclusively for treats), 1/3rd canned and 1/3rd homecooked.     I'm switching the kibble from NB Fish & SwPo to TOTW Pacific Stream.   She'll still get the Wellness canned Whitefish&SwPo but will no longer be getting Canidae Platnium canned - I'll be using Wellness Senior instead.    The only reason for the switch is that NB and Canidae couldn't provide me with the complete nutrtional analysis for the formulas I was feeding (NB said they didnt have it, Canidea said it proprietary and would only give it to my vet !).   I'm boycotting any food that can't provide the data  Stick out tongue

(ps:  turns out that even without my homecooked Prancer's diet meets the NRC requirements for almost all nutrients.   I can now make my homecooked items more focused towards those things she's missing from the commercial foods)

Mix of Nutro Max(Natural)...DrsFS...and Blue Buffalo. So far Nutro and BB are seeming a better fit here as far as coats and condition. Once I switch over fully to BB for a couple weeks we'll see if it makes the rotation. The DrsFS didn't for Cleo but the hounds are finishing it off.

Right now they are getting Fromm Surf and Turf (which they are doing really well on), pre-made raw or canned (switch day by day), salmon oil, and they get canned fish, RMB's and some fresh raw meats a few times a week.

Next we are getting Fromm Salmon ala Veg, because it's our free bag, and we have to get the bag we have bought the most of. We get our 13th bag free if we save the upcs for the Fromm food. Thats always nice.

Rosco and Lexi are on Blue Buffalo lamb formula. It's working well, but time for a switch after this bag.

Luna is on Pinnacle, but I am trying to move her to higher protein levels to see if it helps keep the weight on her a bit better. Once the BB is gone Rosco and Lexi will switch over to Pinnacle, and Luna will go on Orijen or EVO. Haven't decided which food yet and the recent bone issue in Orijen has me concerned.

They also eat Honest Kitchen 6 - 7 times a week.

Supplements -- they are all getting Vibrant Pets canine Athlete Formula. (Slightly OT: does anyone know where to send a supplement to get tested and see if it really contains everything on the label?)

    • Gold Top Dog

Diamond Naturals lamb & rice, Nature's Variety lamb raw medallions, turkey necks and canned Natural Balance lamb.

Emma is eating a rotation of Bravo, with added eggs, fish, training treats, and table scrapsWink. Right now, she's eating the Bravo turkey patties. She likes them, a lot. I've got a tub of their tripe in the freeze, and I want beef patties, next. I think the rabbit is her favorite, though...

She's looking better than she ever has.

sydney was on blackwoods 3000 for a long time. a month or so ago, i switched him to blue buffalo for large breeds. i am thinking of switching to something else once this bag is done, but i am not sure what. i am thinking either canidae or one of the wellness products.
