What is everyone feeding now?

    What is everyone feeding now?

I was just curious what everyone was feeding now?  I know everyone changes pretty frequently and there's always "new" formulations/brands that appear so out of boredom and curiosity I thought I'd ask Big Smile

For the past 2 months I've been feeding Falon Pinnacle Duck & Oatmeal dry and Wolfie Wellness CORE ocean.   They both get a spoonful or two of various Wellness canned formulas and fish oil capsule.

We just got through a bag of Wellness Core (the original formula..), and both dogs did quite well. I went to a different pet store to buy more (assuming they'd have it since they carry 999 other Wellness formulas...), and they didn't have it.. So I bought a couple 1 lb bags of Before Grain to try, forgetting it was Merrick... I'm going today to buy more Core. It's the only grain-free both dogs have done well on.

They usually get a couple spoonfuls of canned food or meat in with their kibble.. They were on totally homecooked for several months, but it just got too expensive. ~$2/pound of meat, plus veggies and supplements, times 140 pounds of dog...is a lot.

Caleb's getting NB fish and sweet potato and fish right now.  I'm rotating amongst the allergy formulas- started out with the new grain free venison and sweet potato.  Next will be the duck and potato.

Muggle came here with Wellness--I'm not even sure which formula it is, but when I have to go out to buy food I'm going to stick with CORE--the cat, Monster, really likes his.  I'm still working out supplements, he's had a little bit of yogurt the other day and today his stool was rather soft, but he's also going through big changes right now and we'll see how he does when he's a little more settled and not so stressed.  I know I want to do a yogurt supplement in the evenings, and maybe some sardines or something, then once a week give him some raw chicken as a treat.

...wow, since I'm actually not feeding all of this now it doesn't really answer the original question, does it?  Big Smile

TOTW Pacific Stream.  Both dogs are doing really well, it seems to be the one food that keeps them both at an even weight, not too thin, not chubby.  Works well for both dogs.  No more itchies either, which was a problem for Sopie for a while. I'm happy, they're happy, it's their food for the now.

ETA, no complaints except soft poops...not runny though, just soft.

The majority of mine are off Purina ONE for the summer and are on plain Dog Chow. The bitch in whelp has been on Puppy Chow for about 2 weeks and thriving. Her puppy lumps are growing every day but she's keeping a good weight herself, not overweight at all, has a very thin layer of fat over her ribs. In addition to this they get a daily liquid vitamin supplement that includes cranberry & salmon oil in addition to the vitamins. And raw, usually beef chunks from the butcher or lamb necks 1-2x weekly.

Honor's on Innova (adult formula), and is doing well.  But as a super-exciting note, I just discovered that there's a privately owned shop 10 minutes away from me that carries Orijen, Fromm, Nature's Kitchen, and EVO.  The possibilities! Smile

Still feeding raw,to all 20 of them. Stick out tongue

Casey's still eating Blue Buffalo - we rotate formulas, so I'm not sure exactly what bag I'm feeding now.... almost time to go pick up a new one! =]

The foster pups are eating Orijen, but I don't think I'll continue to feed this, it's pretty expesive. I think I'll go back to using BB puppy next time I have a pup. I like the Orijen, it's just pricey, and far from my house!
