    Luv,

Thanks, but I think I'm all set.  I have a lot of recipes now.  Also, the pasta I bought is wheat free.  Thanks for letting me know.

Wow, that's an awful lot of taters for so little meat.  I use SWEET taters in my recipe because they are a great source of OTHER stuff, like vitamins, minerals and antioxidents which you are NOT getting in white taters.

I personally prefer to use egg shell powder to bone meal.

And luv4gsds is absolutely right about the bone damage.  The phosperous/calcium ratio is CRITICAL, so you've gotta do it right.

Shelley, is there enough zinc in that diet ? Especially with the high amount of calcium your feeding ( calcium binds zinc I believe?)

    Glen,

I actually don't use all the potatoes/macaroni that the recipe calls for because they do overpower the meat.

    ShortHair,

I have no idea how much zinc is in the diet.  I do know there is zinc in is vitamin supplements.

I really do hope I am doing this right.

If you want my recipe, I'll be happy to send it. It was approved by a canine nutritionalist. I owe it to Laura too.  Bear with me tho.....I've gotta get this house settled first!

    Thanks Glen, I appreciate it!

Not a problem.....I won't even do the MS Walk beg today since I'm kind of flying around and on and off a lot today.

it's fine if you are doing it on purpose...abbreviating my name...lots of folks do that, but I'm actually a GlenDA...and female!  Just to set the record straight! [:D]
