dog treats

I might be remembering something that doesn't exist, but isn't there kind of a stigma that goes along with Pacific salmon?

I'm not sure, but the brand I suggested also has 100% Herring and a few others. So, you don't only have the salmon to choose from.

Jennie, what did your girls think of the salmon oil? Mine lapped up Grizzly Salmon Oil - but they (none of them!) will touch food with this stuff on it.

Scarfed it. Emma made a face the first time, then threw up her food. Of course, she's been having tummy troubles, and I was probably being a bit hasty, adding new things. My dogs are pigs, though. They eat dirt.

They LOVE the Yummy Chummies, but the bag was expensive, and Teenie stole it, hid it her crate, and ate every last one.

    I'm holding a grudge.

    ORIGINAL: schlep

I was about to order some of those until I managed to find the ingredient list, which includes BHT and Propylene Glycol. Link loves fish, and I've wanted to find a good jerky kind of fish treat.

Looks like I should've read back a bit. Might try the Snackfish salmon.

The ingredients on our bag say:
Wild Alaska Salmon, Wheat Flour, Vegetable Glycerin, Propionic Acid, Natural Smoke Flavor, Citric Acid, Garlic, Calcium Carbonate, Natural Mixed Tocopherols, Rosemary Extract.

    No propylene glycol, no BHT.

Romeo, loves, no loves is an understatement, he adores the flossies by Merrick. I also use the treats by Bravo, they are all natural human grade ingredients. His favorites are the dry cod, salmon and buffalo liver.  And do not show him a bully stix, move out of the way, Romeo will jump you, literally. lol. He is a funny silly dog, he will knock you to the ground and look apologetic afterwards, but he has his bully stick.

    My pup loves these: [linkhttp://www.dogswell.com/products/vitality.php]http://www.dogswell.com/products/vitality.php[/link]

I get him the "vitality" ones--dehydrated chicken

Gee, these all sound wonderful but my dog goes for the old fashioned, cheap stuff

Triumph, Old Mother Hubbard, Sccoby Snacks, Liv-a snaps/flava snacks and milk bones. His all time favorite is Crunchin Bones and Pup Corn -. I must be a bad furmom, but he sure goes nuts for the stuff.

Yep, the ingredients on the site are out of date. Here is the email I just got from Brett at Yummy Chummies:

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We are working to update the web site on the ingredients listing. We did change ingredients a while ago.

All products use the following basic ingredients wild salmon, (grain-either rice, wheat flour, wheat gluten, rice or potatoes, vegetable glycerin, propionic acid, smoke flavor, citric acid, garlic, calcium carbonate, natural mixed tocopherols, and rosemary extract.

I hope this answers your questions and alleviates any concerns you might have.

    We appreciate your support

    Thanks.

ok - for the poster that thought i had tried the cloud star buddy biscuits - to be completely honest - i have.  my husband thought i was insane until i told him that he had also tried one of our puppy's treats without knowing it.  it says that it's all holistic and human grade, and i was wondering what it tasted like, so i have actually tried the different flavors of buddy biscuits.  they are very very bland.  you can taste the flavor, but i know why my dog prefers the dried fish - much more flavor....and no, i didn't try the fish....ewww....lol....
