Eh.  I'm a bad furmom.  I get the Iams biscuits. They love 'em.  Not the best but they're always on sale at the commisary.

My crew loves anything from Health Pro, Old Mother Hubbard, Blue Dog Bakery ( they LOVE these) , Cloud Star, Cal Natural Health Bars, VitaLife All Natural Biscuits and Dehydrated Chicken Tender Jerky. But they'll turn their noses up at any of these to get any of my gourmet homemade holistic biscuits.

I agree with the above. Old Mother Hubbard treats make my pup happy. And they are small bone shapes which it perfect since my dog is only 13 lbs.

Winston's favorites are the "buddy biscuits" from Cloud Star.  They have a ton of flavors...

I was just quickly browing this thread to see what everyone's favorites were. When I first read that, I thought it said
They have a ton of flavor... [sm=rofl.gif]
I was thinking, how does she know? (picturing you taste-testing them) [sm=uhoh.gif][sm=smack.gif]

Penny loves Benny Bully's 100% beef liver treats. I love them, too because they are healthy. Sure, they may smell, but as long as they are cheap, healthy and my dog loves, I will continue to buy them. I also like Charlee Bear liver treats, but I don't give those to her very often, because they are mainly wheat. I want to try SmokeHouse Chicken tenders and Snack 21 fish treats, as they are 100% meat/fish. That's how I pick my treats, 100% pure meaty goodness. I haven't made homemade treats, but I want to try one of these days.

Ohhh, we just got some of the IFEX Snackfish (we got a package with fish oil, two bags of snackfish, and some of the pouch food) and the girls LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Emma can't have most commercial treats, but she does just fine with these.

Sofia and Athena and Lily LOVE Yummy Chummies.

(You have to keep the bag closed, they DO smell like fish!!)

I sent some to Roscoe and to someone else, now who was it? Oh, Robin and Bandit!
I wonder how Roscoe likes them?

Treats with my dogs' stamp of approval:

    1) Solid Gold LA Treats (i.e. Lamb Lungs)
    2) Solid Gold Cinna-bones
    3) California Natural Health Bars (strangely enough, they don't like the Innova Health Bars even though they love the Innova food! [sm=crazy.gif])
    4) Wilderness Real Meat Treats

Here is more about our favorite treat:

The principal ingredient in YUMMY CHUMMIES is Alaskan salmon. Historically, native Alaskans used salmon to feed their sled dogs. The sled dog was a vital survival tool for Native Alaskans in the harsh arctic life. Salmon gave their dogs essential protein, vitamins, and minerals. Modern day dog mushers still feed salmon to their dog teams.
Nutrition experts are discovering what native Alaskans have known for hundreds of years. In addition to the high protein, vitamins, and mineral content, salmon are also an excellent source of OMEGA-3 and OMEGA-6 fatty acids. These OMEGA acids have been linked to fighting cancer, bone and joint disease, as well as contributing to a dog's lustrous coat.

I was about to order some of those until I managed to find the ingredient list, which includes BHT and Propylene Glycol. Link loves fish, and I've wanted to find a good jerky kind of fish treat.

Looks like I should've read back a bit. Might try the Snackfish salmon.

Jennie, what did your girls think of the salmon oil? Mine lapped up Grizzly Salmon Oil - but they (none of them!) will touch food with this stuff on it.

I used to give Willow these 100% fish treats a lot before the tummy issues.  They can be found at Petco, no preservatives, human grade.   Here's the link--www.snack21treats.com

Also, if still wanting to keep with all meat treats---www.dogswell.com.  They also recently started making beef now too.  The company will send samples if you e-mail. (At least they did when I asked)

Edited to add--I don't know why the links aren't working but the address on each is correct.
