Eagle Pack Holistic Duck Meal and Oatmeal

    Anyone try this?
I'm thinking about trying it for Ella.
I'm looking for better stools, people.
WITHOUT having to rely on Prozyme.

    My problem?

I put in my zipcode and cannot locate a place near me that sells it.
My Petco sells the regular line but not the Holistic line.

i tried it, looking for the same type of results.  have nothing bad at all to say about the food but did not help my dog's stool issues.

    Dang.
Well, I figure, what can it hurt to try it? That is, if I can locate it. I've dealt with the diarrhea from foods she did bad on. I've dealt with soft stools. I've dealt with large stools.

I have NOT, yet, dealt with explosive stools. I hope that if I give her this food that that will NOT be a result for her.

Eagle Pack makes nice foods----Do you have a Pet Supplies Plus near you?  My local PSP carries the complete line and is not listed when I enter my zip code to the store finder.

How long have you had Ella on Prozyme?  I used an enzyme supplement with my IBD dog for about two months, slowly reducing the dosage until he "healed" and no longer needed it.  Have you tried "weaning" her off the prozyme?

D'oh. No, but that's an idea!

    I shall try that.

I do not have a pet supplies plus near me.

ETA: I've had her on it for...over a month, I know that much.

I have tried the EP Duck and Oatmeal.  This was the first food that started fiming Sampsons poops.   We had stool issues for months before we tried EP.  He does like the Lamb and the Chicken better thant the Duck and absoluetely hated the fish.
I rotate with California Natural and EP and his poops are good on EP but better on California Natural. Just smaller and firmer.
EP is really starting to expand their retailers.  There are two additional stores near me than now sell it but didn't two months ago.

Jessie's on the EP Duck right now. The food we fed her when we adoptd her was Eukanuba and her stools were always very soft. Then we fed her one of the Nutro Natural Choice foods and  her stools were a little better but still very soft about half the time. Her stools are much smaller and firmer on the EP Holistic foods.

well, it's weird. I put my zipcode in once and it showed nowhere within 10 miles of me having the food available.
Then I put in for more miles from me and an error came up.

Maybe if I email John and ask him?

Can you order directly from EP?

I would go to Petco, and find a manager, and ask them to get you a bag. They should be able and willing to.

I suppose I could ask Petco to order it for me. They don't keep it in stock.

Maybe I expect a lot out of people, but I do that all the time. If I want something, and nobody has it, I walk in somewhere and ask someone to order it for me. For a long time, I called when I was running low on dog food, and the little specialty store put in my order, for me. It was waiting, when I ran out. My fish oil is special ordered, too, and so is my canned tripe. Nobody seems to mind ordering stuff, for me, and I prefer to keep my money local.

I use the EP Holistics.  Started when my pointer was having urinary tract infections.  It has a really low target PH.  Stools are just right, too.  It's made 30 miles from my house and any time I've had a question, they respond directly.  They carry it at pet supplies plus.  I know that there is one in Des Plaines.  Is there any reason for you to drive up there once a month for a bag of food?  Other than that, you can order it online.

I just wanted to state that I, uh, tried to order a 15 lb. bag of the duck and oatmeal formula since it's not sold anywhere near me, and it was going to cost as much as a bag of food just to ship the food.
    Screw that.

I'm NOT paying for two bags of food and only receiving one.
    Man, I'm not happy.

I feed Bubblegum all the different formulas of Eagle,,mostly Holistic anymore because I have been getting them from our Pet Supply Plus and they handle mostly holistic.  I do like that NATURAL formual also..so when they have it, I buy it.
I do think you could write to Eagle and ask if they are shipping anywhere close to where you live. I know around my neighborhood there are a few places that have it but Eagles locator only shows a couple.  And I do believe that a pet store that you deal with will order it for you.
One of Idog people orders from Eagle and has them deliver at least 100# at a time.
