Interesting, aminopterin is an antimetabolite we used to use as a chemotherapy agent. It has been replaced for the most part due to unpredictable toxicity. Hopefully this will ease the fears of those out there about wheat itself being dangerous, as long as you don't get your supply from china.

I HAVE FIGURED OUT THAT THIS COUNTRY IS TRYING TO "SUPPORT" MOST OF THE REST OF THE WORLD BY ALLOWING SO MANY OF THE AMERICAN COMPANIES TO M0VE OUT INTO OTHER COUNTRIES AND PROVIDE JOBS THERE INSTEAD OF HERE, BUY MASS PRODUCTS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES TO PUMP MONEY INTO THEM, ETC. MY BROTHER LOST HIS JOB WHEN WESTINGHOUSE MOVED THEIR OPERATION FOR THAT PARTICULAR TURBINE TO TIAWAN, AND HIS GIRL FRIEND LOST HER JOB WHEN THE INSURANCE COMPANY SHE WORKED FOR MOVED IT'S OPERATION TO INDIA. AND MY NEPHEWS WIFE LOST HER JOB WHEN OPERTIONS MOVE TO INDIA ALSO.

OUR ELECTRIC COMPANY SOLD OUT TO A COMPANY IN ENGLAND, SO THEY ARE GETTING THE MONEY OVER THER FROM CUSTOMERS HERE. I CHANGED COMPANIES AND WENT WITH AN AMERICAN ONE.

SO I SUPPOSE WE AR BUYING WHEAT FROM CHINA TO PUT MONEY INTO THAT COUNTRY....BESIDES IT IS PROBABLY CHEAPER.

Holy crap, Sandra. Upset much? haha, I totally agree though. And this is a subject that makes me so angry that I will get seriously worked up over it. My fiance will go on RANTS about this and politics and money. Oh man, he can go on for hours.

What chaps my hide is how other countries will put limits on the commodities that we ship overseas to them - like no GMO corn or hormones in beef (neither of which has any evidence of being unsafe) but then they throw a tantrum and refuse to trade with us at all if we don't let them ship their garbage to us. I know darn well that if we said we wouldn't ake any more Chinese commodities unless they ban that rat poison they'd refuse to buy anything from us.

I have a feeling that the newest premium pet food slogans will be "US Ingredients" or "No Imported Ingredients." As "unsafe" as we sometimes feel our food supply is, we still have the safest and cheapest food in the world, by far.
