My TWO Finally Arrived!!

Shelly, according to the order status, my food is here in Knoxville as of 7:15 this morning and is "Out for delivery"! I didn't really keep up with the status of the first order. Work was really bogging me down, so I didn't have time to sit around and check its status. It's very exciting (and I'm five-years-old!)!

I get excited about that kind of thing too!  I am tracking my order of 2,000 dog poop bags as we speak!!   Mine also says "out for delivery" and it is only 20 miles away!!! [:D]   Very happy about these kinds of things...you know...dog food, poop bags,  firm dog poop...[;)

LOL! I'm hoping Roxie's gas does not become a problem. Like I said before, she has cleared a room before. I was watching TV on the couch, and she was stretched out beside me. It was one of those 'silent but deadly' farts. It hit me like a ton of bricks! I'd hate for her to have those killer farts often.

Hmm...maybe it is just a greyhound thing...but killer gas happens very often around our house!! [:D] It is getting a bit better since they are getting use to the ocean blue...but I swear soemtimes I think just breathing causes them to fart!!

    POOP REPORT!!!

Ok...so I think they are starting to get a little more use to the food...JJs actually looked pretty darn good today and Pru still had a little "pudding" but 1/2 of it was just about normal.  [sm=dance.gif]   They are up to a 50/50 ratio now so let see how it continues to go!!

Glad I'm not the only excited about an order!  [sm=rofl.gif]

No poop report here ... yet.  Roxie only poops once (or rarely -- twice) a day, and that usually happens at night.

Keep the poop reports coming!  I love reading them!  That's further proof that I belong in kindergarten!  [sm=rofl.gif]

Roxie - How do you track your TWO orders?!?!
    • Gold Top Dog
You guys are so lucky! My order shipped out on Tuesday (10.10.06) of last week...and it has been 7 total business days so far and I have NOT received my package! [:@] I wonder why it takes so horribly long for me to get my package? You would think being by Sacramento things would be shipped in a ton?! I seriously have 1 cup left of Elk for dinner tonight and I am completely OUT. [:(] What a dilema!

Anyone know how to home-cook for a few meals?? [&o] GRRRRRR

I am so happy that you are following the poop reports! Ahhhh someone else as crazy as us! [;)]

I have a poop report! My boy is still doing absolutely wonderful after one full 16.5lb bag of Wilderness Elk (oh and he also had one 4lb bag). Dark, firm....and CONSISTENT...that is the best part! [sm=wink2.gif] He had a couple scrambled eggs last night by themselves as a mid-afternoon snack. Well his poop this morning was great. He has always pretty much had a great digestive system...but on the canned food it would vary a bit (depending on the flavor). Eating these fresh "human" foods has definitely gone over well and he is much more consistent and firm. Poops don't smell from the veggies anymore either...looks as if he is getting well adjusted to the carrots and green beans! [:D] So, whether its beef, cottage cheese, yogurt, eggs, carrots, grean beans, salmon, mackerel, sardines, beef broth, etc...his poops are wonderful and he has absolutely NO gas! YAY! [:D]

Rachel...I feel so bad that I didn't get that box out to you yesterday [&o]....I actually put some TWO elk in it just incase it got there before your TWO shipment got to you.[;)]
The box went out today via UPS and they say it should get there Thursday...but that won't help you tomorrow [&:]

Hmmm....maybe you could just use 1/4 of a cup of the dry food and supplement with the whole foods.  How much roast do you have left and also how about canned salmon or EVO canned (even though I know you don't want to give that  [:-]  ;)

I also don't understand why it takes so much longer to get to you than to me!![:@]  I got mine in only 4 business days last time and that included teh tiem to process the oder and ship it out.  It actually only took 2 days to ship.

I am so happy that Max's poop is good...and also that Roxie is now starting to add some poop reports for us![:D]

Doesn't sound like a T.O problem to me. More like a postal problem, Twin.
Are you getting notified when it ships out?
If you are and it's taking too long to get there then it's probably a postal problem (or UPS, or whatever mailing method gets it there).

You are absolutely the most thoughtful person...how kind of you to include some Elk. [sm=angel.gif] Good news, though! I got home from work tonight and there was the package on my doorstep...THANKFULLY...talk about "perfect" timing! I had no idea what I was going to do?! I would have ordered the food earlier, but I was supposed to get replacement bags, so I didn't want to have two 16.5lb bags and a 4lb bag arriving all at the same time...too much food...but I guess I would rather have too much than none at all! I don't get it either...considering we are both in CA? But, maybe it gets shipped to S. CA then up to my area...so maybe that's why you get it sooner? I have no idea...but all I know is that it takes 7 days to ship on top of the 2 days or so to process. Looks like I will just have to order way in advance of needing my food.

Yes, I get notified when it ships out...but I have no idea how to track the packages. I hope Roxie will let me know how to do that. Well hey at least I don't have to pay shipping! [:)]

Goodnews: My new bag of TWO Southwest Chicken & Herbs and Serengeti arrived!

Badnews: Trixie does not seem to like the Serengeti at all! [:@]

Result: She will do one of two things -- starve or eat.  I cannot return the damn bag, according to the website and I'm not wasting the money or food over her picky attitude.

I ordered a four pound bag of the dog food, because it wouldn't give me free shipping unless I did (and I have a nearly full 16.5 pound bag of bison still, so I don't need tons of food to sit around).  Of the other formulas, I settled on the chicken and herbs since she likes chicken/turkey.  I'm going to get the ocean blue next time and hope that it does not knock me over with a rancid fish odor.  You guys have said it doesn't stink, so I'll take your word for it.

Oh, and Rachel, I track my order by clicking on "Order Status" on the TWO website, then clicking "View or change order".  Under "Item Status", you'll see the date and whether or not is has been shipped.  It'll have a tracking number and say "Track your package".  Click that and a popup will show you all the info! [:)]  I also went to the UPS website and entered the tracking number in.  It gave me better details of the tracking status like that.

And Roxie still hasn't pooped.  This is typical of her, though.  I'll have a poop report as soon as it happens.  LOL!

Also, will a cat actually starve itself?  Or will it eventually eat?  I don't want her to seriously STARVE ... [:(] ... but I don't want to cave, either.

If she doesn't eat it, would it be okay for Roxie to eat it?  I know she'd just love that, especially since it's meant for Trixie.  It's just a four pound bag, so I could mix it in slowly ...

This makes me so mad! [:@]  Finicky cat!
    • Gold Top Dog
I think that cats will eventually eat.
Just don't offer her anything else.
    Is she a healthy cat?
If so, she'll eat eventually. Don't allow yourself to freak out over it. I say this because Ella was VERY picky at one time.
I did EVERYTHING from trying so many different things to hand feeding her. Screw that. I love her to death, but I'm NOT putting myself through that over pickiness. But her pickiness was due to being on an antibiotic.
Now she'll eat just about anything I put in front of her.[:D]

While you give Roxie her new food I would give her some plain yogurt or some type of digestive enzyme/probiotic so that it'll be easier on her tummy, even if you do a slower food transition. TO's southwest chicken has been reported to be difficult for some dogs to digest.
    • Gold Top Dog
Trixie actually went to the vet on Monday and was diagnosed with colitis.  She IS on an antibiotic and pain medicine right now ... but she has been eating Nutro pouches (she had one this morning).  I know she's hungry, because she keeps going over to where her bowls are.  She just wouldn't eat the Serengeti, though.

If the southwest chicken is a problem, I'm glad it was just a four pound bag.  At least it wasn't anything larger ... but we'll see.

Thank you for telling me how to do this. The only problem is that it doesn't work!? [:@] I see the "view or change order" and I click on that...it says under status that it has been shipped. BUT...there is nothing that says "Track your Package." Where is that? I can't find it anywhere...there is nothing to click that says to track my package. Maybe I can't because of my location?! I have no idea, but that's horrible. What the heck? [:@]
Also, will a cat actually starve itself?  Or will it eventually eat?  I don't want her to seriously STARVE ... [:(] ... but I don't want to cave, either.

I am pretty sure she won't starve herself...but she may be very tough in not eating. My pup will NOT eat plain kibble unless he is completely starved...and even then maybe not. He is perfectly healthy, too. He will starve himself so much that he will vomit bile in the morning...I just can't bear to see that and have him so famished...so I always mix fun stuff in with his kibble. He is a picky poo...but then again...so am I! [;)] My cat is not as gung ho about the Serengeti as he is about the Innova EVO, but he still eats it all. He is NOT a picky cat, though...thankfully they both aren't picky! Sometimes I mix in some fresh foods in with his food, just like the dog. Trixie may not be feeling too well because of the antibiotics and pain meds. I know you do straight cold turkey switches...but maybe put some Serengeti in with the Nutro pouches?
If she doesn't eat it, would it be okay for Roxie to eat it?  I know she'd just love that, especially since it's meant for Trixie.  It's just a four pound bag, so I could mix it in slowly ...

I don't see why not. If you are feeding Roxie the Southwest Chicken/Herbs...then it is at least the same protein source as the Serengeti. If you add just a little bit mixed in I don't see the problem with it. Same manufacturer too, so it should be OK for just one time.
Of the other formulas, I settled on the chicken and herbs since she likes chicken/turkey.

I can't wait to here how Roxie does on this formula! [:)] I don't think I will even be able to try it because my pup may be sensitive to chicken...but I hope Roxie does well! Also, really curious about the poops/gas on this formula, because I have heard a lot of dogs do the worst on this formula...but I have also heard some do great...kinda sounds like every dog food! [;)] Are you going to be going cold turkey to the Southwest, or are you going to mix it with the Bison...what's your plan? [:)]
And Roxie still hasn't pooped.  This is typical of her, though.  I'll have a poop report as soon as it happens.  LOL!
I will be anxiously awaiting your poop report! [:D]

I don't know if I'll let Roxie eat the Serengeti or not.  Trixie should eat it eventually.  I've tried mixing kibble with pouches, but the little fart picks the kibble out and licks the gravy off.  She did that with Innova, Innova EVO and CA Natural.  She loves Nutro Natural Choice Indoor Kitten, but I don't want to mix it with Serengeti.  I assume she'll be sneaky again by picking out the Nutro and leaving the Serengeti (or Innova, or Innova EVO, or CA Natural -- you see the trend here? [sm=lol.gif]).  She eats what she wants and leaves what she doesn't want.

As for Roxie's food, I'll probably mix them together towards the end.  Since she's doing well on the bison, I'll leave it alone.  When her poop has straightened itself out and she's almost finished with the bison, I'll begin adding the chicken.  Then I'll know if the addition of the chicken is a problem.  If so, I can just avoid it from that point and order the ocean blue (I swear that's my next formula!  And it's FISH!  Amazing!)!

I think this is a really good plan...let her get use to the bison first and all straightened out before trying the chicken.   I am also excited to hear about this formula since Rachels pup is senstive to chicky and mine to rice so we probably won't feed this formula.

I think this is a good sign...trixie is hungry and WANTS TO eat but is being picky (or maybe even not as hungry on the meds she is on right now).
