Went NUTS For EVO 95% Canned!

Thanks.  On the website that Anne posted the link for, it shows a dozen or more stores, but I know they don't all carry the entire line of products.  I'm with you in that I'd love to try something other than the Duck & Potato.  After your description, I may never get them to eat the Duck & Potato after I try the Evo canned tho [:D].

The store locator definitely helps, but not enough. You are right, they only carry certain products. Some only have Innova, some have CA Natural and Innova, some have Innova but not EVO, some have EVO but not the 95% line....etc....I have been to sooooo many stores. I know I can call them, but I like to see EVERYTHING they have to offer at each store so I know, instead of hastling the person on the phone..."do you have this? what about this? and how about that? [:D]

So those 2 places I know FOR SURE have what I listed...[sm=talker.gif]

I just picked up some Evo duck for Toby to test out tomorrow night. I'm really hoping he will love it too!! Oh, some of you folks were talking about the price of a can of Evo.....  Well, I paid $2.29 (CDN) for the small can.....

So Twin - you are actually finding the EVO Rabbit for $1.99 a can?  I was comparing some of the other brands and it looks like Evangers, Nature's Variety, and Wysong also make a rabbit that is in the same $3/large can price range.

Would it be in bad taste to tell the pet store people you think the EVO is overpriced and you're thinking about switching to RAW while standing by the pet rabbit cage?? [;)]

    That's funny! [:D]

Now I am starting to think I overpaid for that darn Rabbit! Another feed store has the 95% Beef for $1.39 for a 13 ounce can! The other place was $1.99 (13 ounce) for the 95% venison and rabbit. But that store looked more expensive for their foods in general. I am still on the lookout for a place that sells the 95% EVO...it is pretty difficult. Haven't seen the chicken/turkey or the duck AT ALL. I am in CA, you'd think this stuff would be more abundant. I still haven't heard back from Innova yet about the variety pack....what's up with that?

My dogs both LOVE the venison and the rabbit, especially the rabbit!  I don't think I pay more than $1-2 per can.  I will have to call the place where I buy it tomorrow and find out.  I haven't seen the beef or duck at all either.  I didn't even realize there was a duck flavor.  Maybe they will be there by the next time I go to get more.  I usually put a spoonful or two on Harley's food and a little on Izzy's each night and usually make a can last 5-7 days.  Harley is a picky eater and we never have trouble with him eating with a little of canned evo oh his food.  I store the leftovers in a plastic container.  Izzy makes all sorts of wonderful hurry mommy noises when I pull it out too!

and usually make a can last 5-7 days.

Is it still allright after all that time? I have always thought canned food should be used up within 2 days,3 max. I always throw out any canned food that i have left after 2 days,my dogs dont eat it with as much gusto after that time,so i figured it wasnt fresh enough for them.

Twin..Can I ask how you're dogs poop was after eating the Canned evo rabbit...I would like to try mine on it but sometimes her stomch can be a bit sensitive

His stools have been excellent so far! No gas, diarrhea, looseness, anything! I am SO pleased! [:)] Although, I do not give him canned plain. I mix like a spoonfull or so in with his Canidae kibble. He stools have been awesome on Canidae...so it helps to have a good, stable dry food to begin with. So far the Venison and Rabbit have been winners, as well as the Canidae canned food. I have the Beef in the cupboard for next time...and I think I found a store that carries ALL the varieties! I am so excited...makes things much easier. I called them today and they said they "thought" they did, so I will probably go by tomorrow and see if they do! Try it with your girl and let me know how she does. It is a really great food and I thought it would be too rich because it has such a strong odor, but its been wonderful so far. [sm=wink2.gif]

Oh, and I want to add that since her stomach can be sensitive...start with adding just a little bit of the canned Rabbit in with her kibble and see how she does. Then you can add more...can't go wrong with going slow! [&:]

Beautiful Shepherd by the way! [;)]

Twin...Thanks for the update..I will try her on it...will put it over her kibble... An Jans close to me carries the different flavors...Will let you know how it turns out...

Baily had the Duck formula for the first time yesterday.  Scarfed his dinner!  $2.59 a can...they had the venison, rabbit and beef as well.

I feed my boy all the different flavors of the EVO 95% canned. One can lasts me about 4 days. Would you switch the flavors after each can? Or, would you feed the same flavor for a few weeks or so, and then switch flavors?

I just want to know which way is the best to rotate the canned foods for variety?

    THANKS! [:)]

I switch after each can,no ryhme or reason, just for varieties sake and to ensure they dont get sick of the same flavour, not that, that looks likely as they love all the canned flavours.Keep in mind that i'm really anal about rotating foods,i've always got a few different dry foods on the go at the same time.

    EDIE!

So far I have been switching each can just like you do. I, too, think it keeps my boy excited about eating because the flavors are always changing.
