Tossing out kibble

    Hi Jojo
I am a product demonstrator for Nestle Purina.  Been with them 8 years.   What do you feed your dog?  I am using Proplan and One Senior for Jax.  He is 9 1/2 now and looks like a 4 year old dog to me.  He is so spry for his age.  I think it was just a combination of luck and decent breeding.  Although his mom and dad are brother and sister!  First generation inbreed, but our vet told us its fine and done all the time.

I feed Nature's Logic, another food my company distributes.  I used to switch foods all the time, but then I was given a free bag of Nature's Logic at a product show and it produced amazing results...

Joey was having muscle mass problems.  All summer he was "weenie" looking.  Two weeks after feeding Nature's Logic his muscle mass started comming back.  And a bonus, the cloudiness in his eyes went away.  I didn't think food could do that.  Plus he's always had slimy stools or has been constipated.  On Nature's Logic his stool is firm and not slimy and no constipation.

I like Pro Plan foods.  I personally wouldn't feed it, but it is great food for the price.  At least at the large pet chains.  It can be expensive at the small farm feed stores.   A difference of $10 a bag.  But that is because Nestle Purina gives the big stores a price break because they buy in bulk.  Pro Plan does produce great results and honestly I think some dogs can't do holistic foods.  But by no way do I mean that some dogs should be fed junk foods.  I don't believe Pro Plan is a junk food.

I thought they put the probiotics into the kibble during the cooling phase?

Thanks for the advice!~  I usually store Toby's food in its original container and then place it inside a huge tupperware container.....  I guess I should stop tossing out food... [&:]

Me too.  Except for the cat food, which I just use a clip on the bag (Solid Gold uses better packaging - it's not paper).  You should keep your food away from sun light as well.

I'm house sitting my mother's 2 cats. she put their food in an old cat litter bucket, not designed for seal tight freshness.  She feeds the same cat food I do,but it smells much different because my mother does not keep it fresh.  She's too lazy to open the container and the bag.  She also instisted that her cats do not like canned food.  Well, they eat it over at my house.  Sure they don't eat the entire serving right away, but within a couple hours it's gone.  My mother says that she doesn't like the smell of it, so if they don't eat it right away, she's not going to give it to them.  I guess when her cats end up with UTI's, which one already has, I just say I told you so.

I buy 15lb. bags ea. time and I put the kibble into an airtight storage container.
