Well, I decided just to freeze the yogurt and see what she does. This way if she won't eat them at least I still can.

Edited again---OK, I just gave her one and these are a keeper. So, now do you guys just leave them in the ice cube trays or do you take them out and store them in something else.

I'm so excited, never going to use the store bought ones again!

1 quart vanilla yogurt
1 banana
2 T peanut butter
2 T honey

Blend and freeze.

I store them in a zip-lock bag or tupperware container.

You can also make a version for upset tummies by adding canned pumpkin instead of the banana/PB.

I always used low fat or whole fat yogurt. None of us need low fat, but it's hard to find whole fat. Fat free usually has fake sugar. Fake sugar is horrible, for everyone. Xylitol can be deadly, to dogs.

I need to make some "ice creams" for mine....

I sometimes freeze them in little bathroom cups, and let the dogs lick them out and shred the cups. They like that

Oh my God, thank you Emma's mom for bringing that up, I will use the low fat now instead of the fat free, I just can't get him to eat the whole fat.

I freeze teas, as well. My dogs get herbal teas, that are beneficial, or just tasty (they LOVE peppermint). Sometimes, I'll make a couple of cups, freeze them in ice trays, and put them in a ziploc baggie, labeled, in the freezer.

Dandelion is a mild diuretic, and a mild kidney and liver detoxer.

Chamomile is a calmer, anti inflamatory, and mild pain reliever. It's also fantastic for an upset tummy.

Peppermint is good for upset tummies, bad breath, and yumminess.

My dogs really seem to enjoy tea, especially if there's a spoonful of raw honey in the cup

Ok, I am going to sound ignorant here, but how do you feed the teas won't they melt by the time they are done and be all liquid, Romeo won't go for that. Whenever I make him smoothies and use orange I alwasy leave the pulp so that it has some connsistency, if it too liquidy (if such word exists) he won't go near it.

I just hand them the frozen ice cubes of tea. They love ice, and chomp it down like treats.

I have two that like ice cubes too!

97 degrees today - I am fried from watching sheep graze! I couldn't get in the deep shade because the sheep wanted to be there and being there with the dogs would have driven them out. The dogs needed what little shade I could get in - yes I'm nuts. [sm=crazy.gif]

Happy July 4th - I will be building fence and grazing sheep (until the fence is back up [8|]) - woo hoo.

I mix plain yogurt, peanut butter and honey in the blender. I'll mix pieces of kibble in it and then freeze. I will also freeze this inside of cow hooves and it makes an irresistable treat.

Thanks, that is a wonderful idea. I usually get raw cow hooves, not the ones that sell at the pet store those I think are too hard, anyway I stuff them with raw green tripe and freeze [:'(] a hit with my little rabbit. (Romeo's nickname)
