Not eating

If she hasn't eaten since morning, could that hurt her?

No,highly unlikely. I really hope she isnt already trying to pick and choose what she will and wont eat.If she's healthy and is only doing this to see what else you may offer than i would continue offering her meals and taking them up after a half hour or so.I'm sure she will eat once realises nothing else is on offer and she gets hungry enough. How old is she again?
I think she'll be fine to go to the vet on Friday. Is she acting normal, not sleeping more or acting lethargic?

She is 8 weeks tomorrow. I am not sure if she is acting normal as we have only had her since Saturday evening. She does sleep alot, but from what I can remember from when my other dog was a puppy, that is normal. She also is really hyper when she is up. It just seems like since I have gotten her, she really hasn't eaten much. I will just keep trying....

    Thank you!

Oooh shivers,i didnt realise she was so young.I was thinking 9-10mths for some reason [&o]

I dont want to alarm you,but maybe if its convenient move the vet appontment up asap.If nothings wrong, which i dont think it is,probably just new home nerves, then you can set your mind at ease and know you only have a fussy princess in the making on your hands. It couldnt hurt to be safe than sorry.

    Thank you Edie,

I really appreciate your opinion. I will try to get her in a little earlier.

    Thanks again....

With a toy breed puppy you need to be careful that they don't get hypoglycemia. There's a lot of good info on the internet, here's a site with some info.

Thank you Luvntzus, that website has good info. I am going to take her in to the vet first thing tomorrow (they are really good with fitting me in when there is a problem). I will let you all know how it goes.

Glad I could help. :) I think it's a really good idea to take her to the vet, just to make sure nothing is wrong and to get the vet's advice.

Well, I took Daisy to the Vet yesterday. She says that Daisy is REALLY healthy! Whew!
She said that there is nothing to worry about and that in the next few days she will start eating more. What a relief. I am so glad that she is so healthy.

Thanks for all of your help!
