Well, I'm just doing it, because he is FINALLY eating

Dogs usually live a boring life---sleeping most of the time with a few walks and games of fetch in between. So if my dog doesn't like her food, I feel like I am cheating her of a simple life pleasure. They are with us too short of a time to feed them something they despise eating. How would you like to eat dry cereal everyday? Thats why I don't believe in the tough love approach. Feed the dog what it enjoys, (as long as it isn't junk).

I recently purchased Royal Canin beauty formula for my dog and I mix meat and veggies in with it. She loves it. I know I alot of people consider RC to be a midgrade food, but she eats it and I am happy.

Just to throw MY two cents in here,,, I think its GREAT that you found something that your pup will eat.   Personally,,,I'm sorry you asked everyone here because the same people are going to say the same things...... but you wanted to know,,,so you asked.
    I agree with WIllow....100%.
Getting your pup to eat is the first step. I don't believe for any thing in the whole world that you are hurting your dog.     Once your pup is eating and healthy,,,,you can start to think about changing food.
    GOOD LUCK!

I do agree with Dyan.  Get this baby fattened up and healthy and THEN go with the samples to find something better quality.  I guess that's what I thot I was saying when I said that no matter the food, it's useless if it sits in the bowl uneaten.

    Gee KK,,,thanks.
I'm like everyone else here,, in that,  I do what I believe is best for my dog...its really not the same as a lot of others,,,but its best for my dog. I believe in the company that makes my dogs food. But it just doesn't matter to me,,,,if a dog is eating good and is healthy,,, that is really what counts.  I feel bad that we are always creating so much doubt in so many people that come here.
