If you get your puppies out of the two sires...not guaranteed...that's potentially one LESS breeding the bitch will endure...good for her...you can spay her earlier. I see no issue if everyone minds their p's and q's.
This just makes zero sense to me. You are sparing the girl an additional whelp but you are putting her with 2 males or a male and a vet procedure?? Maybe I have girls who are less than happy breeders. But it is common in the RR would to have to muzzle the bitch to keep her from eating the Male's face. I have also know bitches who soured on the vet after having and AI. So in no way can I see this "sparing" her anything. IT is invasive in more ways than one it is also IMO lazy. I drove my girl from Alabama to Chicago to breed her to the top dog. I spent 11 days sitting in my RV in a parking lot testing to progestin levels so assure she was ready and the tie would be more likely to succeed. I had 10 gorgeous pups. I only breed a girl 3 times. I only have her with the stud 4 times . IF I am meant to have a spectacular litter I will. You can not take your girl to every dog that makes you go WOWZA! but you can carefully research an pick a good one.
If it is your bag to go dual sired litters fine, but please do not try to wrap it up in a concern for the comfort or safety of the bitch. A dual Sired breeding is likely to produce puppies of different sizes and a larger litter. That whelping is far more dangerous than dealing with a relative consistent between normal expectations. Driving a bitch to a breeding is a pain no doubt. and waiting until she is 100% ready is a tiresome chore. Shouldn't it be??? Otherwise we would be exactly like the BYBS and Millers we scorn. Pushing a bitch to deliver as many as possible, and using only what is closest for breeding, weather IA flown in and a live stud for back up....
I know I feel strongly about this. But I look at Bulldogs who can no longer breed and deliver naturally, I look at show dogs who got the anti season shot so may times to avoid blowing her magnificent coat and the numbers she will lose in the ring while having the pups....who are now sterile. Sometimes we humans just interfere to dang much . Everytime you breed your girl you are risking her life. You need an honest reason to make this choice. You NEED to keep it simple and straight forward. Pick a Good stud that will improve your lines, pick A dog who you admire and believe will compliment your girl. THEN go ahead with the breeding. Using two studs is in my head and heart just making a special thing between you and your girl a business. And my kennel does not go there. If you do and can feel cool about it that is something your head and heart can deal with.
