a small fine rash like that truly looks like sarcops -- AND the brief rash you had could so easily have been a temporary problem with them.
wildlife sarcops are like that -- it's not like dog sarcops where they are trying to breed long term in the skin. they *try* (which can be whatt the pustules are) but they really prefer to go back to that particular host to 'breed' but they bite (it's the poison in their bite that causes the itch) to feed and get a 'bloodfeast' from the dog.
If you always let her out just before you crate her, and then she lies down and is only concentrating on how itchy she is she'll scratch incessantly. The tearing out of clumps of hair and the small fine rash are pretty much hallmarks of sarcops.
wipe out the crate with clorox and spread a white sheet UNDER the crate so you can bleach that daily. You could do Lyme Dip (vet item) ... or you could try giving Interceptor (or Ivomec might be a good investment at this point and you could then use it for the next 4 years as heartworm preventive -- Ivomec is about $50 a bottle). If you treat and it causes the itch to stop (even for one day) you can often self-diagnose that way.
Then you gotta figure out where in your yard she's getting it -- likely some spot where a critter stops to scratch (like under a tree or something) and the dog is sniffing for coon poop. (coon poop is even more of a delicacy than kitty tootsie rolls are)
