Has anyone ever seen this Pet Shower Curtain?

This product looks great. I want to get one but was wondering if anyone has tried it. I have a large German Shepherd and I think this will really help because she tends to shake a whole lot when I bathe her.

    Pet Shower Curtain

I've never heard of this, so no help with the product. But my best advice for avoiding the shaking in the tub is to not get their head and ears wet until the very end. My dogs usually never shake until their head is wet. So wash and rinse the rest of the dog first.

With this curtain, I would imagine my face would end up being pressed against the plastic all the time. I usually am leaning over my dog quite a bit while bathing. Can't imagine doing it at arms length like in this picture. Most dogs just aren't that cooperative. And wouldn't my breath condense on the plastic?

i agree.. it doesnt seem practical. my dogs would never just stay where the "sleeves" are... lol... i just bathe my dogs in my underwear (dont ask) and then use the dog towel to dry off most of my bathroom afterwards.... of course i dont have a german sheppard. lol

Gee, Janet, I thought EVERYONE gave their dogs a bath in their underwear!  Wink  That's what I do with Kaiser -- sit on the edge of my tub in my undies.  If I wore shorts they'd get soaked, so why bother?  lol

As for the product in question, I can't imagine it working for me.

Well, I got one, tried it out last night and it works great! The curtain if flexible so it moves with you and your dog. No problem with the curtain in your face, it stays far enough away not to be a bother.

You can reach over your dog and across the bath to get the shampoo. The gloves are nice because I do not have to get my hands into the dirt and grime on my dog.

I also used a teather to make sure she stayed in place but she is used to being bathed so it was really no problem at all.

I would recommend this product. My bathroom stayed clean and best of all I stayed dry.

well I certainly hope this wasn't an issue of using our site to promote this product?

I am glad you like it...but personally..it made me laugh outloud looking at the pics. Talk about impractical.

Please do tell us what kind of dogs you have?

I have a German Shepherd. And I would think that this product would be useful in a number of situations. Such as a flea problem or some other really nasty issue like a skunk. I just would rather not get in the tub with a dirty dog.

     But to each his own.

me neither...that's why we wash outside, esp this time of year. LOL. Of course I own a breed that will be close to 110lbs at maturity, and drops enough hair to make a new dog. MY tub is out of the question anyways! lol.

LOL I also have been known to wash the small hounds in my undies. My kids too when they were smaller and more splashy. Course my son is big now and STILL likes to splash up a storm. But thankfully...mine (DOGS not kids LOL) don't get bathed too often since it's not the best thing for their skin and coat.

You guys wear underwear? I don't even bother with that, they only get wet and yucky. In fact, I usually end up right in the tub with the dog.

    sorry TMI  Stick out tongue

Here's a product I would buy: A large waterproof bag that you can insert the dog into, with just his head sticking out. Fill with water and shampoo and seal around the dog's neck. Then just slosh him around! LOL

Seriously... if I'm bathing dogs at home, I hop into the shower, and bring the dog with me. Of course, I don't have Cleo the Leo to bathe, LOL. I usually wash mine at work, though.

What a JOKE! LOL. That's a waste of a perfectly good, 3 easy payments of 19.99 Who makes this thing, RONCO? he he

Anyone that's afraid of getting a little wet from washing their dog, deserves to be ripped off on such a silly product.

From someone who bathes dogs for a living, I couldn't see how this THING could be safe, let alone practical. It's hard enough keeping a squirmy, sudsy pup in the tub as it is, much less, doing it incubator style, LMBO!

    • Gold Top Dog

I wouldn't use this "pet shower curtain"...it looks like it would make bath time 5x harder than it is. Plus it's $60! Indifferent

BTW...anybody ever hear of a bathing suit (instead of undies?) Wink Stick out tongue That's what I wear when Apollo gets a bath!

Shew I thought I was weird for bathing my dogs in my undies or nothing at all. Glad to know I'm not alone. But in the summer the dogs get baths outside!!!
