    Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks to you, Stevie has a very good home until she can be adopted.  You are an angel and good things will come to you for taking care of this sweet girl! [:)]

Oh my goodness!! My eyes are welling up here at work!! God bless you for caring for that poor puppy!! Thank God for people like you!!
    • Gold Top Dog
I was choking back tears through this thread - first because of the awful thing that happened to poor Stevie - but then, from joy that there are people like you, all over the world, who care enough to help an animal in need!!

It sounds like Stevie is in a great place with people to take good care of her - and like she will always have you as her guardian angel, making sure she is ok, even though you couldn't take her yourself...

Bless you for what you have done for Stevie - I know you will be re-paid a hundredfold.

OMG - This made me cry! Ohh that poor little thing! SOOO cute too.

Darebt - you are truely a good, no, a GREAT person for taking care of little Stevie (love the name by the way - perfect!). I hope you feel proud of what you did as you should be for taking care of one of gods helpless creatures. There needs to be more people in the world like you...

I hope the horrible person who did this gets what's comming to them.

All done now. Stevie's adopted from a nice family. She will leave in my neighborhood, in fact in the building next to mine and the door for me will always be opened, said the host. What's best is that the family has Pekingese, which will be Stevie's friend (probably [:)]). Stevie will move on Monday. I hope it is forever. She deserves it.

That's fabulous; she's nearby where you can visit her. [sm=dance.gif] Bless you for taking her in, getting her to a vet and helping her find a home.

Remember this sweet dog? After a happy life,it came to a sad end. The dog eventually died, due to some disease, the family that adopted her, just gave me a call to tell the sad news.

However, the puppy had a great life, despite the unhappy fortune it had. I don't have a picture from the grown Stevie, but if the family has, Ill try to post one.

I'm glad that this pup got to have over a year with a loving family.   Run free sweetie.

I'm sorry to hear about Stevie.  But, every bit of the good time she had on this earth was because of your kindness.  Native Americans have a legend that says when you cross from this world to the next, you do it by passing over a log that forms a bridge over a great abyss.  The log is held at both ends by the dogs you have known in your lifetime.  If you were kind, they hold the log and you get to the spirit world.  If you were cruel, they drop the log, and you fall into the abyss, never to be seen again.  I think that you will make it over the log, but those nasty people who were so vicious, and took Stevie's sight from her, will end up in the big black hole.  Thank you for all you did for her - you are truly a kind person.

Thank you so much for the update...even if it was bad news.   The dog had a nice life the past year...thanks to you!  You saved her!

Were you able to see her at all during that last year?

You have a kind heart...I hope that you have a nice dog to care for in your life now...or at least soon.

Thanks to everyone for their kind messages

I did saw her couple of times, and You can't imagine a happier person than me in the first time I saw her after about month and a half I left her with her new home and when I thought that Stevie recognized me. In fact, I am sure she recognized me Smile or I think I am.

Kinda funny now - Stevie but a lady Smile

P.S. Believe it or not, I've just today found another dog - this time all healthy but so small - surely a new-born and it was so hungry and freezing, and it was immediately transferred to my girl's house where it is very happy for now.  I will try to post a pic from the new dog - which will probably be called Whitekei. (You pronounce White the same, and kei- as K in thinK, You don't say E and I as in thInk.

A black dog, in my country, will usually be called (if no other name) Blackie- from Black.

Thats a cool name!  I hope you can keep this pup...you seem like a person that would be a great pet parent! And they are so much fun and loving to come home to each day. Good luck.

I bet Stevie did recognize you, she new you saved her!

Can't wait to see pictures of the new pup!  Thank goodness you came along when you did to save another one!

Thank you for giving us an update!  It's unfortunate that Stevie (Lady) passed but atleast she spent the last year getting the love she deserved.  And I'm certain she recognized you!!  Would love to see any pictures you can post.
