Every 3 weeks they go get a bath at the groomers. It is too hard on my back to do it at home.

Maybe once a month or so. In the summer tho, we go to the ocean & swim every few weeks. I don't know what it is about the salt water, but they smell so good afterwards. And their fur is so soft.

Maddi is as needed only. That means if she's role in something gross and it's stuck to her, or if she's starting to get a doggy odor.

When I do bath, I use Cloud Nine.

Once he rolls in something. So about once a week. (I'm kidding!) About every month or so.

I read on here that it was bad to wash your pup too often. I was at the vet yesterday so I asked. We usually give our Boxer a bath every other week. The vet said we could even do it every week if we wanted and it would be ok. She said to use an oatmeal wash rather than soap so it doesn't dry out her skin. You can get these oatmeal washes at the vet or I'm sure at Petco or similar store.

I either use a wipe or a wet cloth on him, or doggie cologne. I always thought that stuff was ridiculous, but now I see a good purpose for it

Be careful if you are using the doggie cologne. We used this on my aunt's shih tzu and she broke out in a rash. Some dogs skin is too sensitive for this. If you aren't sure I'd say try a "test" spot to see if your dog can handle the perfume.
