No problem-I know all about special dogs and their ridiculous diets!

It was in Savannah, Ga.  Ena Bean woke me up in the night to potty, then had some more yucky poops this morning. *sigh* I suppose fasting them is a pretty good idea. Chicken and rice won't work at all, though, LOL. I'll have to come up with a different bland diet, for them. Beef and potato, maybe.

I forgot she can't have chicken and rice, but any bland food will do;-)  Looks like you already solved that problem anyway.

Well, today, they finally all seem to be fine. I've been giving them lots of coconut water (it's great for electrolytes, for humans or dogs) and beef broth. My friend's dogs are also all either better or recovering. It was, thank goodness, just a bug, not dog show crud.

I've never heard of this before.  Can it be given anytime?

I don't see why not. I drink it, LOL. I get headaches if my electrolytes get weird, so I almost always have coconut water, or some electrolyte packets around.

Problem probably fixed by now.  Kaopectate and Pepto are both alright to give.  I use Kao and my dog loves it.  I use a large syringe and draw it up and she lets me stick it into the corner of her mouth and I just push and she drinks it.  It works very well and if her stools are still loose the next time I give her some more.  She weights 65# and I give her 2 of the cups that come with it.  This is per my vets advise.
