Please, please help me! (It's for Cuddles) UPDATE!!!!
My cocker Spaniel Cuddles who is seven years old and my Newfoundland/Black Lab mix got into a tiny fight. They both had squeaky toys and were happily chewing away. Well, Cuddles went to a different room and left hers there. She came back in and decided she wanted Lion's toy that was currently in...

Is it worth it?
Giving heartworm prevention... is it really worth it? When i got Bailey he had heartworms, and it cost $600+ to treat it. Ever since then, he has been on interceptor every month (except in the winter). Going through the treatment for it was horrible, for him and me. Ever since then, even though i...

Struvite Crystals in my dog's urine
So I took my 1 year old pitbull, Bentley, to the vet today because he was peeing in the house, and had a little blood in his urine. They tested his urine and found struvite crystals in his urine. They gave me some Amoxi, and antibiotic, for 14 days and Hill's s/d canned food for 30 days. He will...

Has anyone used Gabapentin? (Chelsea)
Hey guys. Quick update, then we'll get to that question... Kovu's doing fine. His breathing is pretty much back to normal, and he's eating & drinking normally. Cherokee's pain has been getting steadily worse. Last night she couldn't stand up on her own, and at about 4...

Spend $50 for me Groomers..plz
Ok, so $50 is a roundabout number, but basically I want to know, if you were in my situation, what would you buy for grooming supplies. Quick rundown: Crusher and Onyx are huskies, but Onyx is crossed with something else, I'd guess BC but who knows. Her topcoat is silky and long, but her undercoat...

Nervous
In two weeks Nikon and Coke are having hip and elbow xrays done. Nikon's already pre-lim'd fine. Coke I'm just really nervous about. I don't know why. DH and I have been talking about it, what the game plan would be if they come back *really* bad. I have no reason to suspect they will...

Josie prayers?
A lot of you know from facebook, but i thought i should come post it here too. Josie wasn't acting right today, and i was a bit concerned. Around dinner time, she kept eating grass and was shaking pretty bad. I rushed her to the only vet that was still open (Thank God for them letting me come in...

occassional paw dragging; should I be concerned?
Snickers my GSP is 4 and for almost as long as I can remember when we take him on walks he will always, at least once, drag his rear paw. I hear the nails scrape, and then I'll watch him walk for a while and then it almost seems like his right hip drops ever so slightly and the paw will drag as he...

My friend's pup has hypoglycemia
My friend's pup has hypoglycemia and she just got him on Sunday. She got him from her cousin's whose female dog had a litter; silky terrier/yorkshire terrier mix and he's only 8 weeks old. As far as I/my friend knows, he hasn't had a single vaccination yet... He apparently slept the whole...

Anal Problems- AGAIN (BlackLabbie)
OK, last night- in the middle of the night- I woke up because I could *hear* Molson licking away at something . I knew it was Molson because Patty was sleeping w/ me under the covers and Apollo was upstairs on the couch, Molson was on the dog bed in our bedroom. I just shrugged it off, he was wearing...

Polyurethane on Coat
Okay, so I was polyurthaning some shelves for the house. It was drizzly today, so I did them in the shed and left the door open so they could dry. Welllll....... Kya decided to crawl under them. She looked fine afterward, so I thought that it was okay. I just checked on her where she was sleeping...

Scratching face
For some time now, Gibby scratches a bit at his face....can never tell where though...sometimes thinking its his ears...sometimes he seems to be close to his eyes.... and sometimes his mouth. Never quite sure and a lot of times I clean his ears to make sure they are okay....never see anything to worry...

Agnes's heartworm update
Took the little brown dog to the vet Saturday for a blood draw. Doc found only 3 or 4 larvae in her blood! Two months ago she had over 300!! I know it is in part due to the ivermectin and also the doxicycline sterilizing the adults. Even though she is down a pound, weighs 25.5lbs, her fur is softer,...

Anal Problem-HELP! (BlackLabbie)
Last night DH had Molson out for a walk. On their walk Molson pooped then scooted. This morning we had Molson (and the other 2) out and he pooped again and scooted....so, I'm thinking his anal glands need to be expressed. I get home call our groomer who does this to make an appointment. Then I noticed...

These nails............ argh!
I've complained before about how hard Bugsy's nails are and how fast they grow well it is soooooooooo bad now that he isn't being exercised via walking/running/ biking. Holy poop his nails are massive and grow overnight. And even though he is very short-haired the hair is also growing. Do...
