Glenda I am SO very very sorry -- there are times when you just get no real warning. I'm glad for Thor it was relatively quick. *hugs* Glenda I truly understand how difficult this is.

Glenda, I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about Thor. I can't imagine the shock you must be feeling. What an unexpected heartbreak. I don't know what to say . . . you and everyone in your household is in my thoughts tonight. I'm sure you're all feeling pretty lost. I hope you find comfort from each other's company and from the words and thoughts of people here. Take care.

The words and thots of the people here are quite honestly my lifeline. It's almost like popping a blister....reading whats said hurts, but the hurting actually eases the pain if that makes the least bit of sense.

It was hard this morning, while doing the shepherd shuffle, to not have Thor in the mix. I'm sure that all the "firsts" will be hard, but I keep holding on to what a glorious place the rainbow bridge is and how joyous Thor is there. I sure hope Misty has learned not to act like a crazed cocker by now.....I can just see the big guy having to put her in her place! That gives me a bit of a chuckle. And thats a very good thing right now.

Glenda, I'm so, so sorry about Thor. It must be such a shock to have that happen so quickly, just out of the blue ... but I have to think going quickly and gently is better than some of the alternatives. And you know Thor went to the Bridge knowing he was a well loved dog. Run free, beautiful boy.

Yep, shock doesn't even begin to express it. And, I agree, it was ever so much better for him to go quickly and gently. But, honestly, it was so much harder for US that he did. I keep reminding myself how awesome it is at the Bridge, and that he didn't linger.

And ya know? Every dog I ever have will benefit from what the Big Guy taught me.

That just ain't right. Man, what is wrong with the world? Big hugs from all of us to you Glenda, and yours and, if I can sneak it by Shadow, a deer leg for Thor to tide him over for a while.
