In Memory of Caliber

Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge is the theme of a work of poetic prose written some time between 1980 and 1992, whose original creator is unknown. The theme is of an other-worldly place to which a pet goes upon its death, eventually to be reunited with its owner.

Caliber lost her battle to an undifferentiated nasal carcinoma at 3:15am 12/27/2006. She passed in my loving arms as my wife petted her and Remington looked on. This has been a very rough time for all of us. She was doing so well with her treatment. It appears that the tumor burst and took her. We knew this day would come, but we did not want it to come yet. She was only 11 years old and still very active. We will miss her greatly. Please pray for us all. We shall find her at the Bridge when we get there.

Caliber was a beautiful girl - I love the photos in the snow, and her eyes look riveting.  I'm so very sorry to hear about her passing.  It sounds like she was in a peaceful, loving environment when she crossed, which is a blessing.

Run free Caliber.  May you find lots of freshly fallen snow to romp through.  Watch over your family as they face these heartbreaking days without you.

I am so sorry for your loss, loosing an animal is one of the worst you have to go through in life, if not the worst. I am sure she will be waiting for you at the bridge. Also from looking at the pictures she was a beutiful girl and looks very gentle.

I'm sorry you lost your friend.  She was a beautiful girl and it sounds as though she was certainly a well-loved dog.

I have a soft-spot for Siberians.  Tell Caliber to look for my Shari at the Bridge - she's probably already found the best snow.

I'm sorry for your loss.  Run free Caliber.[sm=angel.gif]

She looks so happy in the snow. I'm sure there's an area over The Bridge where there's snow all the time so those that like it can play whenever they want. I'm so sorry you had to lose her.

Please pray for us all. We shall find her at the Bridge when we get there.
You can count on that, we will keep you and your grieving family in our thoughts and prayers.
With out a doubt, you will see her again. Know she is whole, pain free and young again with all of our fur companions at the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  It's a part of life that I never really thought about until my FeFe became sick.  Just know there are many of us here that have been through this very same thing and completely understand the heartache you're facing now.

The photos of Caliber are just gorgeous... what a photogenic girl!

Oh, I am so sorry for your loss, and I will be praying for you but I know she will wait there for you.

Caliber was a beautiful girl and I'm so sorry for your loss.  We lost our lab, Jake, to nasal carcinoma and I know how truly awful this type of cancer is.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
