There are actual mods and there are wannabe mods.  Sometimes wannabe mods actually become mods.  I can understand your confusion.  I would suggest Kate, Gina or Glenda would be someone to start with.  ;)

Moderators are RWBeagles, Benedict, Ixas_girl, myself, glenmar, Jill B is our administrator, along with Amstaffy.  You can always go through "contact us" or Feedback.  I'm not sure if danehaven is still moderating or not.

Don't cry, Shelly. I wasn't invited to leave this forum either. We can look at that in a good way.  Nobody invited us to leave, so everyone loves us. Do I detect a bit of paranoia on someones part?  BTW, when are we going to get our "beating a dead horse" smiley back?  Everyone voted to keep that one and I'm starting to really miss it.

A-Freaking-Men about our horse smiley.  I think I've needed it quite a few times in the past few days.

Flash!  I was just told that the member who made the recruiting statement publicly said invitations were sent and anyone else coming from this forum to Chazhound had to google in.  So maybe technically those that received invitations but not in a pm are technically telling the truth.  Just my guess.
