Recruiting efforts to leave this forum?????

Yeah, I've had that too - before the forum changes were even made. I didn't respond, just filed the PM away for a rainy day.

I got a couple before the forum change when all of the TOS bs was going on.  I actually appreciated the fact that members were trying to look out for one another.  I haven't gotten any since the format change though.

Generally I think their reasoning is sound... but joining another forum doesn't necessarily mean you have to leave this one - that's just the choice they made. It's good to know where people went if you want to keep up with them.

 I personally find that I'm able to be involved in more than one forum at a time. It isn't a contest. I got an invite to join another forum that the inviter thought I'd find interesting based on interactions we'd had before. So I went, and I looked, and I liked, so I joined. You'll notice I'm still here too (it isn't that easy to get rid of me, y'all will have to try harder!).

 
Edited to say that at no time was I encouraged to leave this forum. Just got a heads up about another I might be interested in.  I see the same people posting in all three of the forums I'm active on--I don't think anyone just took their toys and went home from this one. They're all still here.

As I understand it, there is only ONE member doing this, and she's still posting here as well.  I'd guess that if ya'll are bothered you should forward the emails to Jaime or Jill.

Against forum rules, huh?  What's the punishment.  It was pointed out to me that on that other forum that snownose mentioned, the member publicly admited it in a post.  And I was again told there were bashing of this forum and members too.  What is punishment, bannishment?

I remeber Personal Champ talking about board wars and really did not understand that.  Is that what this was, an attempt?

I think it is one thing for someone you are in contact with to drop you a message saying "hey, this other forum is cool too" and ENTIRELY another to receive something unsolicited. 

No one was bashing, people were A) not pleased with the new TOS so I assume many members moved initally because of that.  B) Interested in seeing a new forum and/or meeting the people there.  C) unpleased with the new forum format or whatever reason. 

 most of us are members of both and still post both places.  I have few qualms with either and I deal.  I enjoy the different boards and they have very different feels to them.  Actually I was a member of there long before here.  It's not a contest.

I was just told that links of the comments can be provided and I am hurt because I was also told that a member specifically said I was not liked.  Is banishment the punishment?
