Recruiting efforts to leave this forum?????

I think this thread is the moral equivalent of always pressing the "report" button on people you don't agree with.  Let it go.

Then why post after the thread has been dead for a while? Was it worth it?

I, too, go to Chazhound, though I spend more time here. A number of members go to both boards. I haven't been there recently but I haven't seen "down with idog" threads over there. Or any particular thread bashing any member that posts here.

Nor did anyone recruit me. But then, I was never good at politics. But, in a way, I agree with Spiritdogs. Going over there was a brief mini-vacation from some of the strife that was here. And it can't be bad advice to walk away from something if it's getting you down or not going anywhere productive, or if you simply have a disagreement. Not that we actually physically fight, but one of the first things I learned from my Kenpo Karate instructor in 1977 was that you should always walk away from a fight. Talk your way out of it, drop it, walk away. That is always the best resolution to an unsolvable problem.

Sometimes, it helps to get your head somewhere else to get a fresh perspective.

Now, if I could just recruit more people to move to Texas so that we could have regular idog gatherings. But what am I saying? Those of us who live in north Texas can't seem to get together, even when we want to. The only other idogger I've met in person is Schlep. He mainly hangs out in the nutrition section when he does check in. He's busy operating his own business.

Well, a lot of us know a different story.  And, I do believe in the saying that "you can't go home again" that is try and recapture the past.  For the 15, this will always be in the back of their minds.  Good luck to you all in overcoming this.

Now for some good news.  At the height of the Members Games, I saw the users on-line reach over 3,000.  After the Moderation Wars, I saw users on-line stable at 1,200.  After the transition to the new forum site, on-line users hovered around 100 for the longest time.  This past week, I saw the number peak at 500 with about 300 being the tops each day.  The dive is reversing.

Well I for one am glad to see that the forum is returning to what it was in the past as well as growing. It makes one wonder what was really going on here since I was receiving e-mails and calls before I came back to come back!!

So I say welcome home those wo have lingered and I hope you all continue to enjoy the new format!!

The numbers show that but if you pay attention to LoginIds, its a whole new crowd and an interesting crowd at that.  As I said you can't go home again...meanng you can not recapture the past.

Oh geez....I was trying to NOT post here...but I have to say when this thread started I went over there  to "nose around" a bit.   I found a thread that had a lot to say that mildly mentioned a few people on this forum. You guys might remember...it involved a whole lot of people from here welcoming people over there and although I don't remember names being mentioned..it did mention states in which they lived.  I figured that was what DPU was reading when he post.   I got out of there in a hurry,,,don't need more trouble yet.

I guess I just plain don't understand what this thread is all about. I thought I did...but maybe not!

ETA: I am not saying anyone is rude, or in the hotseat, etc...merely reposting what may have been lost as it's 3-4 pages back in this thread. An Admin request was made...and I think it's to this forum's benefit that it be seen thru on by members up to and including myself. I am hopeful that this thread can again...become about this forum...and not some other one...and we can dial down the drama around here...because positivity here is much needed.
