would like to pm Amstaffy but my experience is she is busy and doesn't at times respond

Others can certainly respond DPU but that leaves you in a quandry...do you want to rely on what others think is acceptable and likely to keep you out of trouble...or do you want ADMIN to reply and clarify what is acceptable and will keep you out of trouble?

Who's input do you think has more bearing on your status in any hotseat real or imagined?

Sometimes one needs to be patient if one expects a reply to an email or PM. Esp if one is requesting such from someone who's been dealing with a lot of complaints or issues lately. It's only courteous to wait...as opposed to complaining about not getting a reply.

can anyone tell you you're on the hotseat...or would you only graciously accept the title from a member of staff?

DPU, I can't see where you would be on the hot seat.  Just keep doing what you're doing......fighting the good fight.

No one at this point is in any hot seat. This thread was closed and those of you who have been here long enough should know I don't close threads much. I had it re-opened and posted what would be considered somewhat of a warning to the group but by opening it would also allow more talk, after all isn't that what a forum is all about??Talking????

Now, moving forward once again, what happens on other forums is not within our control and I will not police the world. I don't care about so called "Forum wars". If members here want to join other forums by all means they are free to do so...I belong to other forums and one that Gina even found me on that I never would have expected a while ago..no Billy, it wasn't a XXX one..LOL!

What I do expect here is respect amung our members toward each other. That is the issue and I'll say it once more a little slower...I don't expect to see remarks here against any member participating in another forum or towards what they might be saying at such forum regarding anyone here. There needs to be a place to vent, be yourself or whatever especially if you feel like you don't "fit" here any longer.

Will people go to other forums and say things about this forum regarding what or who they don't like or are not happy with? Sure they will, it's human nature and called venting. Those other forums will do with that behavior what they want to within their rules and is their right. 

Rude is rude no matter what the topic and bringing what someone says about or too someone on another forum here is rude. Now if that isn't clear enough, e-mail me and I'll explain it once again

Nope, sorry!! I'm at Kimberton this Sunday and I entered Devon and Hatboro one day. I have TWO litters of pups due next week so I'm sticking close to home but stil trying to finish Juliet who just needs 3 pt major now

Dave, since you want the opinion of others, let me tell you how I interpret this situation.

Let's say, someone on another forum said they don't like me.  Let's even say, this person said they knew I lurked on that other forum and didn't care that I know they don't like me.  If I tried to bring that stuff over here and have that person held accountable here for what they said there, I would be in that hot seat you are asking about.

That's how I see it anyway.

We are just discussing and trying to seek clarity in the final judgement of this thread.  In no way am I challenging anyone’s authority nor am I arguing.   And for me I like the discussion to be here because I feel and others may think so to, that certain circumstances may not have been taken into consideration in making the final judgement.    My take on things are somewhat unique.

I have an outstanding question as to whether or not I am on the hotseat.  And thank you to the two members that gave me a direct answer.  I really don’t know what hotseat means other than it has future ramification to my future postings.  Is fair treatment influenced by being on the hotseat?  In sniffing the air, I am not on the hotseat but a somewhat warning was given so in my mind I am on the hotseat, I think.  A direct answer to a direct question is talking and that is what a forum is all about.    

This brings up the question of fairness.  The edges can be influenced and the lines changed because of relationship, definitely positive relationship but also includes biases.  Yesterday afternoon there was a thread that went on for a long time that was unmistakenly baiting, bashing, and referencing my past posts.  Since I was not clear on the forum’s fairness approach because of this thread, I asked permission to enter the thread and respond in kind without getting into trouble.  Got no permission.  Got no response.  The moderator eventually entered but in the admonishment there was no mention of hotseat.  Now we all had a good laugh from that thread, including myself, believe me I did and I got in trouble at work for laughing so uncontrollably loud.  It was a wonderful tribute to my one year anniversary at this forum.  Let it known that I am working on the material for my second year and hope to enjoy the same dance again. 

Lets change the situation of this thread for clarity sake by an extreme hypothetical example.  The final judgement in this thread does set a precedent.  Two members, a mother member and a criminal member.  If mother member discloses this, then mother member is on the hotseat.  I can understand and somewhat agree with this because mother member is bringing disruptive information from outside to the forum.  Now if mother member’s child was the victim…Is this where we differ?   Just trying to understand if in both situation if the innocent is on the hotseat and if so, so be it, we move forward with that clarity in mind.

does mother member have a father member? other child members? what exactly is criminal member's role in all this? maybe the child is criminal member? or is father member the criminal member? maybe mother member and criminal member are the same person using two different log ins?

further i would like to add that i think...

mother member + child member = criminal member (at least in this state)

if child member< 18, then child member = minor member.

else child member >/=18, then child member = adult member.

for *=any 

elseif * member>/=18 & actions = juvenile, then * member = child member.

so as you can see any member can be a child member, thereby making themselves a minor member.

 
give me a bit and i will try to work out the flow chart for being a major member. there are a few here and there.
