    I think most folks can figure it out, but the problem lies peoples passion for animals and what they consider to be their well being on this board.  The other problem is different peoples tolerance levels as well as occasionally not getting someone#%92s humor.

     For example Espence….  YOU actually DO have a sense of humor that has been known to shine through at times, [;)]      so if I said to you “glad you figured out what TOS meant .. cuz if you didn#%92t know then maybe you shouldn#%92t be posting on this thread”.   YOU would understand that it wasn#%92t meant to be rude to you… it was all in fun.  But different people take the same written words 100 different ways ya know what I mean?   [8|]

    I know, it also depends who's coming from, i know that everything " rude" that Billy says will be not taken seriously, and a little "[;)]" at the end of the post always helps [:D]

    Well it stands for "terms of service" of course, but if you didn't know that already then "Houston we have a problem" [;)].... lol!
    • Gold Top Dog
    Lol ... I'd ask for directions to Huston, but I'll restrain to avoid going off topic. [:D]

    Heaven help us!  I'm agreeing with Billy again. [sm=rofl.gif] I think we should put out a little i-dog dictionary of any and all rude phrases that could possibly ever come up and the acceptable versions of those phrases.  We could bring them up like the emoticons and just click on the appropriate one.

    Excuse me Personal Champ and/or Mods, but I am still trying to understand editing posts and minimizing subjectivity.  Again, it is effecting what, where, and how much I post.

    I really don't care about the above post but it can be interpreted as a violation of rule #2, vulgar language because of the "*".  Now in the thread next door about icons, a member offered an interpretation but also implied in the post that the forum was having a slow week.  That post was blown away.  Guessing on my part, I interpreted the moderating action as a violation of rule #4, addressing forum problem privately.  Can you explain why the moderating action was different.

    Wait!  Wait!  Another blonde moment coming up.  How could **** or  $%&@  in any way be considered vulgar language? I thought the whole purpose of using those symbols was to avoid the use of vulgar language, while still letting everyone know that you are really pi**ed about something?  Right? Wrong?

    FWIW Dave, the post wasn't vulgar.  I actually typed ****.  :)   I have no idea why it was edited and frankly I don't care enough to ask.
    • Gold Top Dog
    Actually, no. What was typed was the first and last letters, with the stars in the middle.

    I stand corrected then.  [8|]

    [sm=rofl.gif] ... a literal split h**r![sm=rofl.gif]
     and to split another hair... the original post ACTUALLY had only the first letter and the rest were stars.
