    Excuse me Personal Champ and/or Mods, but I am still trying to understand editing posts and minimizing subjectivity.  Again, it is effecting what, where, and how much I post.

    I really don't care about the above post but it can be interpreted as a violation of rule #2, vulgar language because of the "*".  Now in the thread next door about icons, a member offered an interpretation but also implied in the post that the forum was having a slow week.  That post was blown away.  Guessing on my part, I interpreted the moderating action as a violation of rule #4, addressing forum problem privately.  Can you explain why the moderating action was different. 

     
    Ok, new moderating action reversed the above action.  The post by Probe1957 was edited to remove implied profanity, whereas before it was left alone and now the other post in the other thread that was blown away has now appeared and has been reinstated. 
     
    Can the moderating action be explained?

    It seems to be affecting what, where and how quite a few people post. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed that there has been very little posting of any real substance lately.

    I agree with you both!  I *think* that it might have to do with the fact that even when people do post, & the post may not be to everyone's liking.  The post just "vanishes" without reason.  When efforts are made to deal with this issue privately, no response is given.  Then the post "magically" re-appears.

    Issue enough corrections and the subject will "shut down." Quit offering responses or anything, in order to avoid another correction. Especially with the 3 strikes rule.
