I missed the ENTIRE thread. I went back and read it, not the entire thing, but I caught the gist of the "congrats, nice to see you back"s, and I caught the advice, and I caught the judgments.
Sure, she posted it on a public forum, but the judgements made are harsher than anything Ratsicles deserved, IMO.
I think she's proven that if something happens with her dogs, she is willing and ABLE to figure out how to make it work out.
IMO, she was kind enough to come here and update us on her life and, through the issues she's having, was happy with her new house and wanted to share.
It's not like she's having issues with her dog and is going, "OMG, Ogre killed chickens, oh well, I don't know what to do so I'm just going accept the fact that he killed chickens and let him around them still"
I have NO IDEA why some people here think they are holier than thou and think they have the right to harshly judge someone when EVERYONE makes mistakes.
I made one with my dog. Hell, I made TWO very horrible mistakes to the CORE with my dog, but I am STILL a responsible owner. I may not know exactly HOW to make my dog tick, but I'm willing to learn and I'm making it work. And that is what I feel Ratsicles is doing as well.
It's a shame that she is leaving.
A DAMN shame.
I wish the people here who claim that have perfect dogs (maybe not directly but their judgements speak louder than just coming out and saying it) and perfect relationships with their dogs and claim they are perfect dog communicators/readers, would get the heck over themselves. No one is perfect. Leave your judgements for your OWN MIND and realize that someone is working on getting just AS PERFECT AS YOU ARE. JEEZ.
Gina (rwbeagles) had the right idea in that thread, she gave advice and offered support. We ALL KNOW that Ratsicles has worked some brave wonders with dogs and is MORE THAN willing to continue working with her dogs.
