Kaylie did well, though with Andy Linton in the ring she lost to him the first two days. Monday WE WON!!! (not the points, but the class, which was a BIG deal!! :) Anyway, she was acting like a puppy on the last day and the judge pulled me to the side and said that she is an absolutely stunning bitch and once she learns how to stand (she was fine for exam, but stacked up for any length of time was too much for her by the last day) "... well, everyone here better watch out. I'd have put her up, but she just didn't earn it" :) I can respect that. And it was really nice of her to say. It was a major so the classes were full and standing in Winners just took forever and she'd do fine till about the time the Judge looked at her, by then it'd been several minutes. Anyway. Frustrating as we SHOULD have had one of her Majors out of the way. But, we'll take the Class (and Andy Linton :) and the wonderful praise of a very accomplished Judge who breeds pointers!
The new venture was actually fairly good! We didn't sell as much as I'd hoped to, but considering we had no idea what would sell or not, we had kind of just a small assortment of sizes, so when we'd sell out of the popular sizes, people would go "I'll just order online." :( Oh, well. Shut Up And Train was by far the most popular thing. Followed by Herd It All and then Get The Point? (which I didn't even have printed! Was just in a book of additional designs). I came up with a shirt idea for flyball and another for agility, they like the clever lines best and they loved the hoodies. We sold out of the hoodies in most sizes.
So, it showed enough potential that we plan on continuing. I"m workiing on the website as we speak. You can check out the skeleton of it at www.greydogdesigns.com I have to work on it on my laptop so i'm finishing up some of these designs to save onto a thumbdrive and then work on it with my laptop in a bit.
It's been insane! Thanks so much for asking :) How was your weekend?
