I guess it turns out that this was not a puppy mill raid as most are. Apparantly this was an elderly couple that took in all kinds of animals thinking they were helping them out. There were dogs and they did used to have a License to breed but it had expired. They had miniature horses, dogs, cats and all kinds of animals. The miniature horses were taken to a private school to be checked and cared for and they are sending them to S.Dakota today I think. Many of the dogs that need extra care were sent to someplace in Colorado. Dogs and cats that were basically healthy but in need of food, worming and bathing have been sent to several Shelters. I saw where our closest Shelter took in 29 and are taking applications for adoption.
No charges have been filed that I am aware of at this time.
