When will this crap ever stop????  How much more simple and humane would it have been to take the poor dog to a shelter?

People are SOOOO afraid someone is going to make them accountable and give them a hard time.  So they go to this really elaborate extreme of taking the dog out in the middle of nowhere, making 85 knots to tie the dog to the tracks .... it would have been less WORK to have dropped the dog at Animal Control.

Here is a small update on Choo Choo.   The reward is actually up to $6000 now because of donations made.

$6k? That's a lot of money. I'm surprised no one stepped forward. For that kind of money, I might just drive up there and play private investigator. OTOH, I imagine there's already some private investigators on the case. That's a good amount of money for work they are used to doing. Someone, somewhere in the city, must have known a neighbor with a pregnant boxer that isn't around anymore. Unless of course, the offenders abandoned her on their way out of town. I hope whoever did this has bad dreams, rotten luck, and a king-sized case of hemorrhoids.

My favorite author, Robert A. Heinlein, once said in a character that there is a special hell for those who abandon kittens. I would like to extend that curse to people who would do this. And register an "attaboy" to the engineer who saw the dog and called the right people to take care of the situation.

Amen brother, amen!  I hope she finds a warm cushion and loving hands for the rest of her life!
